Reviews
Did Patterson forget his own stories?
1By Todd4UTAs an avid Alex Cross fan, I have read every book in the series. Did Patterson forget the events that occurred in "Cat and Mouse?" In that book, Soneji kills his wife. We also find out that he has a daughter who's life he spares. We learned that Soneji is not his real name but a name he has given himself. Why then, in this book, do we read that his widow lives in New Jersey with his son, Dylan? Why does Cross go to New Jersey to talk with Gary's father, Mr. Soneji? Did James Patterson forget the story he has already written, or did another author who hasn't read all the books write "Cross Kill?" It really makes you wonder. Does Patterson think his readers are that stupid? I am highly disappointed!Three Hours Wasted
1By RGP52This was included for "free" with Cross Justice. Evidently he wants to sell it as a stand alone story for $3.99. Alex Cross stumbles blindly from one crisis to the next, acting totally out of character. The book ends with no resolution, a strong indication that this improbable story is being serialized. Stephen King did the same thing years ago (Sold bits and pieces of a story, charging dearly for every piece that never led to a resolution.) which lead me stop buying his books. I guess I'll have to do the same with Patterson. Poor writing; blatant commercialization. Not a good combination.Crossbill
1By Brori09I have read all pattersons books on Alex cross. This one came to an abrupt ending. If you do not know "Triple Threat" is same book.Cross Kill
2By ImMichaelPaulI have purchased almost ever book Patterson has written. This “ending” was a waste.Cross kill by James Patterson
2By HoustonaddickswestherstationSupremely suckered. Threw away money, after reading the same at the end of a Patterson novel, thought I was buying the full story, a novella perhaps but the full story. Author and publisher shame on you from full paying readers.Cross Kill
2By FuzzWuzzAbrupt ending. Good twists but is overly apparent that Patterson left the reader hanging so there could be another book. Just too blatantly obvious.Disappointed
2By TeapotjrfanThe book would have gotten five stars had it not ended the way it did. Very unhappy with how these bookshots are ending.Cross kill
5By JimHBook stopped on page 189 was supposed to go to 220. What happened. I was left hanging.Open ended
3By Mad wheelsRead all series novels, this is DEFINATELY a tease....Don't buy cross kill
1By SuevanblackI've read lots of James Patterson books and enjoyed them but he must have done this just for the Bucks. Not even a real book. Terrible work, total disappointment. No more bucks from me!Don't buy!
1By SPVYThe story ended in the middle with no ending. What a waste of time.Cross kill
1By Lolipops1234The ending sucked. How long do we wait for the rest of the story. This is not a novel, nothing more than a money grab. Finish the story..No story here
1By dbeachThis is no more than a story without a resolution, and promotion for upcoming books not connected to it, other than by the Author. I consider it crass merchandising. "To be continued" is a shameless hook used since radio days. Surely Patterson demeans himself with such contempt for his readers. I am generally a Patterson/Alex Cross fan. His long form books are fine, but uneven. These short ones merely commercial interruptions. Waste of money.Do not buy this book
2By TrevicoI hate it when an author ends without final closure. Obviously he plans a sequel that I will not buy. Very disappointing from PattersonCross Kill
1By Mygram#1Love James Patterson, but, this book was over half way through the story. Very disappointing. What happened?!!!
2By LuckyLuceIII love James Patterson's Alex Cross books but this one has me stumped. Unless this is going to be a series of mini novels with more chapters to come, this ended with no ending! Not at all fond of this one at all. And if it is a series, I won't be purchasing more.
