By Hillary Clinton
“In the past, for reasons I try to explain, I’ve often felt I had to be careful in public, like I was up on a wire without a net. Now I’m letting my guard down.” —Hillary Rodham Clinton, from the introduction of What Happened
For the first time, Hillary Rodham Clinton reveals what she was thinking and feeling during one of the most controversial and unpredictable presidential elections in history. Now free from the constraints of running, Hillary takes you inside the intense personal experience of becoming the first woman nominated for president by a major party in an election marked by rage, sexism, exhilarating highs and infuriating lows, stranger-than-fiction twists, Russian interference, and an opponent who broke all the rules. This is her most personal memoir yet.
In these pages, she describes what it was like to run against Donald Trump, the mistakes she made, how she has coped with a shocking and devastating loss, and how she found the strength to pick herself back up afterward. With humor and candor, she tells readers what it took to get back on her feet—the rituals, relationships, and reading that got her through, and what the experience has taught her about life. She speaks about the challenges of being a strong woman in the public eye, the criticism over her voice, age, and appearance, and the double standard confronting women in politics.
She lays out how the 2016 election was marked by an unprecedented assault on our democracy by a foreign adversary. By analyzing the evidence and connecting the dots, Hillary shows just how dangerous the forces are that shaped the outcome, and why Americans need to understand them to protect our values and our democracy in the future.
The election of 2016 was unprecedented and historic. What Happened is the story of that campaign and its aftermath—both a deeply intimate account and a cautionary tale for the nation.
Ok... REALLY1By stop trying hilaryYou are still going on about this campaign that was your fault for losing. Not every thing will just come to you whenever you want it. Your still making up dumb excuses to why you lost. I would have rated your book a -10 but I can’t
Great book!5By asuz09Lots of insight.
Blame game1By FlossyctPoor excuse for a book
You lost deal with it!!!1By Witchypoo16Hillary you are writing a book explaining how you lost and why you didn't win! he got the majority so he won! So just shut up about it already! Do you see me whining? NO YOU DONT because I'm not! And I don't care. Why do you need to tell us why you lost...we already know, the reason is trump won you lost! Like seriously do you need to keep whining about how much more stronger of a person you are, well your not, he won fair and square so get over it. Get on with your life because we all you know you don't have much of one left!!
You lost. He won. Can you please shut up and stop yapping about it already?!1By Piñata Magonia PoppyHillary lost. Trump won fair and square. This is called denial. If a therapist had to diagnose Hillary and tell her what was wrong, it would be Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPC) and denial. Also, if you didn't happen to realize, this book is the first book to ever have the question and the answer on it. What Happened? Well.... Hillary Rodham Clinton happened. If there were zero stars, that would be great. This book is boring and an utter waste of paper and an utter waste of my time. Didn't even finish it because it was so bad. Just completely narcissistic and drawling. P.S. Im glad she didn't win and this book just makes me laugh. The genre should be comedy. Also, should have a warning on the front saying "What you are about to see and read is beyond narcissism. This is a disclaimer."

Corruption & Lies: Hillary's Career1By $300 PoorerDon't waste your time. You already wasted your tax dollars (if you pay any) employing her as a corrupt Sec'y of State. Thank God her graft didn't reach the highest level like her vile husband.
Joke1By Matt817Politicians have become a total joke and it’ll only get worse unless we rise up. The political party system is contrary to the best interests of America. It causes divisiveness and corruption. Hence the corrupt jokers constantly at odds in the headlines every single day.
Trump Train1By oh yeah soak it in folksJust gotta say it winning feels good under Trump we won't get sick of it. He's an excellent leader that will make a better president. People who only read up on Hillary haven't found any real source of tangible knowledge. This opinionated, hateful book is not only a desperate grab for money but it is also a divider in our country. In the present Trump is shattering records ever since he has been inaugurated our economy has boomed. To put this in perspective it's been one year. Imagine our country in 4. No imagine our country in 8. Flourishing companies, opportunities to capitalize, and an employed civilization. But anyways back to Killary. Men (and women) who make excuses will never know success. The blame game after a failed attempt is the general definition of a sore loser. Some may say "but trump blamed the media" yes he did but go look at CNN ratings they frequently attempt to refresh ratings to hide the copious amount of one stars. Trump wins because he is right. He wins because he's smart. He wins because he isn't corrupt. The prime example of corrupt can be viewed when digging into the Clinton foundation. How much does the Clinton family retain? Where does the money go? Not to mention how do they get this cash and who gives it to them? Hillary is a criminal. Bill is a drug addict, adulterer and liar just like his wife. Glad we avoided this dumpster fire of "The Winner of the Popular Vote" and Miss "I Don't Know about any Emails"
