#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • “A delightfully lighthearted caper . . . [a] fast-moving, entertaining tale.”—Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
A gang of thieves stage a daring heist from a vault deep below Princeton University’s Firestone Library. Their loot is priceless, impossible to resist.
Bruce Cable owns a popular bookstore in the sleepy resort town of Santa Rosa on Camino Island in Florida. He makes his real money, though, as a prominent dealer in rare books. Very few people know that he occasionally dabbles in unsavory ventures.
Mercer Mann is a young novelist with a severe case of writer’s block who has recently been laid off from her teaching position. She is approached by an elegant, mysterious woman working for an even more mysterious company. A generous monetary offer convinces Mercer to go undercover and infiltrate Cable’s circle of literary friends, to get close to the ringleader, to discover his secrets.

Camino Island
5By CCDaveExciting read. Good story, holds your interest.Like driving through Kansas.
2By K2skigirlAs my first Grisham novel, l was expecting plot twists and cliffhangers. Nope, not one. You can see the whole story from the beginning and it delivers each expected development on a simple plodding drumbeat.Very enjoyable read
5By JRD walkerGood story line, relatable characters, surprise ending. What’s not to like?A very good book
5By Dan VermilionI loved the story and the characters. It was a great read.Anticlimactic ending
2By RobertMedic30Ending fell flat, bad guy wins, too simple for such an elaborately laid out narrative plot. Much left to be desiredCamino Island
5By Grams 1001A wonderful read. A departure from is lawyer theme, but great.Solid Book
4By BamancalTo me, this was a very solid book. Liked taking a break from court room dramas. I liked most of the characters and enjoyed reading.I love typical Grisham

5By chuckleedeeThe writing is very good. There were times when I felt that I was on that beach...Great author but...
4By AlexisRed2Weakest ending imaginable! I have read many Grisham books before but they were completely riveting, this was more beach trash than a law drama. I liked the characters and the plot but the ending just was awful. Four stars for what could be and a nod to a great author!
