In Sir's Arms

Half the book was Sirs point of view of paste items. The only new thing that happened was Lilly being moved. I feel like we could have done without this book entirely.

I love the beauty of this series.. I feel the passion with the words that Red Phoenix writes. With each new book, I get a glimpse of a world filled with heartbreak, determination, the strength of each character as their lives heal and overcome the stumbling block life has thrown at them. A group of people who come together when one is of need.. a family. There are so many parts of this story that steals my breath.. And then there's the unremarkable way this author writes her love scenes.. Beautiful, mixed with unadulterated desire with a devotion of love that will have your heart soaring.

Red Phoenix totally mends our hearts back together with Sir's story! A huge sigh of relief hearing Thane Davis' voice. To hear what Sir went through during the plain crash and his struggle to awaken was purely an emotional ride. I am so enthralled with every book in this series. The story keeps getting better and better. Can't wait for the next book!

In Sir's Arms continues the story of Brie and Sir Thane Davis. It cannot be read as a standalone, as it follows events that happen in each book in the series. This time around, we get to hear from Thane himself, on what he experienced during and after the plane crash he was in. We also get some snippets from the past as certain events happening now cause him to reminisce to events that happened in his past, before he met and fell in love with Brie Bennett. It was fascinating to see what Thane experienced while he was in the coma all those moments before waking up. We got Brie's side of the story as well as the other characters, but now we see and feel what Thane was thinking, feeling, experiencing in that darkness before his body finally healed enough to bring him back to the land of the living. We also continue the story of what is going on with his evil half sister, Lilly. What a piece of work she is!! As long as she is still around, Brie and the baby will not be safe. Thane struggles deeply with the dark feelings he has towards her, feelings he never wants to have come to the surface around Brie or their baby. It was wonderful seeing the other characters, Rytsar and Todd Wallace especially, along with some cameos from Tono and Master Anderson, Captain and Baron and really the whole gang from the Submissive Training Center. And the excitement is ramping up as Brie gets closer and closer to her due date!! I can't wait to see Baby Davis make their entry into the world!! But we have to wait until next year before we will get that story. Not sure what I'm supposed to do with myself until then! Another great installment, Red!!
