Fishing for elephants

Fishing for elephants is written by Larry Moore, a nationally recognized artist/illustrator. It explains the creative processes of art and life with a conversational, humorous, and informative voice. It’s not a how to paint something to look like something book. The second half, VoiceFinding, is the first half put into action for artists who want to get to their core authentic self, or just want to push out a little. There are more than 140 examples and unconventional exercises designed to break this process into bite-sized chunks so your genius skill-set will expand exponentially.
 
 
About Larry Moore
 
The methods presented in this book are the same ones Larry has used over decades of successes in advertising, graphic design, illustration and fine art. He’s been a college and workshop instructor for nearly 30 years. From winning a Gold Medal at the Society of Illustrators in New York, to winning Best of Show in national plein air painting invitationals, inclusion in Society of Illustrators annuals, and Communication Arts design and illustration annuals and multiple galleries. He has been published by 15 of the country’s largest publishers, articles in five major art magazines, has produced 7 public art projects, and his work has been exhibited in over 20 museums nationwide.
