Raping your wife apparently makes a romance novel
1By nupt94I still cannot believe this book exists. Then to come here and see it has a high star rating. This is misogyny at its worst. Even beyond the rape, threatening to beat your wife, humiliate her and she thinks this is an homage to Taming of the Shrew. I'm just flabbergasted. Women are supposed to think this is romance, a love story? Despicable. The Rebel Bride by Catherine Coulter
1By SamwizestCatherine Coulter is one of the better authors of romance novels. I have read almost everything she has written. However, I wish I had not bought this one. There was tension and hostility (also a rape and a miscarriage) between Julien and Kate throughout the story. Suddenly, in the last chapter Kate decides she loves Julien. This storyline just didn't work for me.
