Description

Agents Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock must protect the life of a young political speechwriter in this New York Times bestseller in Catherine Coulter’s FBI Thriller series.

A senior speechwriter for the governor of New York, Becca Matlock is at the top of her professional game when she receives a disturbing phone call that threatens everything: “Stop sleeping with the governor or I’ll kill him.” The thing is, she’s not sleeping with her boss, but that fact doesn’t stop the calls from the man who refers to himself as her “boyfriend.”

When her stalker murders an innocent in New York City and the governor is shot in the neck, Becca comes under suspicion and takes off for the sanctuary of Riptide, an isolated community on the coast of Maine. But she soon finds herself at even greater risk...

FBI special agents Savich and Sherlock are in Riptide to help out an old friend of Savich’s father, and soon become embroiled in Becca’s deadly situation. But as enemies new and old circle closer, time is running out for them all.

This is the 4th book I have read by this author. The first three were somewhat okay, but Riptide was HORRIBLY written. Many of the sentences and most of the plot were silly, not plausible, and things a child would write. I spent most of the book laughing and reading those sentences out loud to my husband. What a waste of money.

First I love Catherine have read her books since I was 16. I am also rereading these books. I am finding now after being a fan for 20 years that I am not appreciating the "damnation" constantly said out of supposedly Americans mouth as well as how everyone of these fbi books ends with "let's get married and/or we should get married" it's ridiculous. I realized and loved the historical romances she has written so understand but it still irks me how ridiculous these books end.

I rarely give up on a book this early, especially works by this author, but after Chapter Three of this book, I gave up. Stupid storyline, cartoonish characters. Terrible writing. Don’t waste your money. Not worth it.

This book was great! Not too creepy, but creepy enough I kept checking to see if my door was locked! I bought the book Monday afternoon and by Tuesday night I had finished it! I couldn't put it down. Read it, you'll enjoy it.
