Description

"Improve Your Photography" has been purchased by thousands of beginning photographers across the world and has been recently updated in this second edition.

The book is packed full of quick and easy tips to encourage budding photographers to improve while learning concepts and technical information on photography. Jim explains this book this way, "This is what every photographer needs to know to take clean and stunning photos. If I would have had this book when I started, I would have been two years ahead of everyone else in just 100 pages."

The book covers topics such as tips for taking better portraits of people, instruction on choosing lenses, tips for landscape and sunset photography, and HDR.
Unlike most photography books that confuse beginning and intermediate photographers with difficult concepts and too much technical data, this book is designed specifically to teach photographers who are just learning how shutter speed, aperture, and ISO work together.

"If I would have had this book when I started learning photography, I would have been two years ahead in learning."

The title says it all. Definitely 100%. Ps JEagle1776 if u have a negative comment, keep it to yourself, especially if u r completely wrong, in my opinion. Pps u would like the "...for Dummies" series.
  • Great tips. Missing images in iPad version

There were a lot of good tips for the beginner in this book. Good, specific advice about brands to buy or avoid in cameras, software, and accessories. The iPad book version referenced a lot of photos that were not present. I expected a lot more visual examples but this version surprisingly only had 6 or 7 photos in it.
  • Great book for DSLR owners

PROS: Great information for new dslr owners or people just getting into photography. I would have spent an eternity finding all this info on a thousand sites online and probably wouldn't have understood it still. The writer has a really casual no-nonsense writing style and does a good job of explaining difficult concepts in an easy way. I also liked the quick tips sections. CONS: It's missing some pictures and there are some typos. Also, there isn't a lot of extremely technical information. Definitely worth $5. That's the same price as a farting app on the iPad! J/k.
  • Missing photos!

I like the book, but the electronic version is missing many photos that are referenced in the text. For a photography book, this a big miss.
