Description
Now with over 10 million copies sold, The Mistborn Series has the thrills of a heist story, the twistiness of political intrigue, and the epic scale of a landmark fantasy saga.
For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison. Kelsier "snapped" and found in himself the powers of a Mistborn. A brilliant thief and natural leader, he turned his talents to the ultimate caper, with the Lord Ruler himself as the mark.
Kelsier recruited the underworld's elite, the smartest and most trustworthy allomancers, each of whom shares one of his many powers, and all of whom relish a high-stakes challenge. Only then does he reveal his ultimate dream, not just the greatest heist in history, but the downfall of the divine despot.
But even with the best criminal crew ever assembled, Kel's plan looks more like the ultimate long shot, until luck brings a ragged girl named Vin into his life. Like him, she's a half-Skaa orphan, but she's lived a much harsher life. Vin has learned to expect betrayal from everyone she meets, and gotten it. She will have to learn to trust, if Kel is to help her master powers of which she never dreamed.
This saga dares to ask a simple question: What if the hero of prophecy fails?

Great series starter
5By Whim1954If you enjoy high fantasy you will love this book. So much going on it’s hard to sort but carry on, it’s worth it.Wow
5By VballdawhGoodOk Not great
3By Callanish7Definitely YA. It could have been compacted and half of the dialogue cut out. Really great idea but dragged out and totally predictable. Not gonna waste more time on the rest of the series as it’s a lot to wade thruGreat book
5By You tuber fiveFantastic writing style, very clear and easy to understand!Wow.
5By randamaziumSimply amazing.Amazing Start to this Series!!
5By Makoto2x6I love the flip that Mr. Sanderson does with most of the plot happening within the city, makes for a refreshing take since in most stories, the characters are traveling a lot. In here, there’s like traveling for side jobs and stuff. The big set up. Kind of reminds me of Sly Cooper in a way.Overrated
3By walker_bohEveryone raves about this series…maybe it was the hype that did me in. I read the whole series and thought it was mediocre overall. It just didn’t draw me in. I know I’m in the minority though. I can’t figure out why everyone is bonkers over these books. Maybe if Sanderson didn’t crank out a book every other weekend and spent more time on his world building….Brandon Sanderson is amazing.
5By nononononoyyyI have read his other books called skyward and they are both amazing books.Amazing
5By librokidThis book was absolutely stunning. I couldn’t put it down, the plot was incredible. I highly recommend reading the next two. Most likely should read wax and Wayne though I’m only halfway through the second phase. Can’t wait for a phase 3 mistborn. Thanks Sanderson!Solid book
