A WALL STREET JOURNAL AND FINANCIAL TIMES BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR
In The Power of Habit, award-winning business reporter Charles Duhigg takes us to the thrilling edge of scientific discoveries that explain why habits exist and how they can be changed. Distilling vast amounts of information into engrossing narratives that take us from the boardrooms of Procter & Gamble to the sidelines of the NFL to the front lines of the civil rights movement, Duhigg presents a whole new understanding of human nature and its potential. At its core, The Power of Habit contains an exhilarating argument: The key to exercising regularly, losing weight, being more productive, and achieving success is understanding how habits work. As Duhigg shows, by harnessing this new science, we can transform our businesses, our communities, and our lives.

5By Bucwild68I had seen this book show up on many ‘must read’ lists. I was alarmed by the number of negative comments, which stopped me from reading this book months ago. I finally broke down and ignored the negative reviews. I love this book! It explains the roots of habits. The examples drives the point home with excellent examples. I don’t know what book the negative reviewers were talking about, but this book is a ‘must read’. Excellent book!Redundant
2By EMLea22This book has some very good points, but I’m finding myself unable to get through this. I’m about 300 pages in, it’s redundant. The author makes the same points over and over. Once you think you’re through a section, it goes right back into a previous thought concept. Some of which I find doesn’t add to the point of the book.Nothing but Fluff
1By Lumpy McBugabooTakes a million years to read through all the stories that eventually lead to the wisdom I actually care about. I skimmed my entire way through 1/5 of the book and learned almost nothing.Habits & Business
5By jrcota3I found this book to be much more than simply about habits. Not only was this book very insightful regarding your habits, identifying them, and perhaps changing, but I found this book to be surprisingly a deep dive into the habits of business as well. Definitely a must read!Great Book if you’d like to change your habits or gain new ones
