Description
In this New York Times bestseller, Hollywood power couple DeVon Franklin and Meagan Good candidly share their courtship and marriage, and the key to their success—waiting.
President/CEO of Franklin Entertainment and former Sony Pictures executive DeVon Franklin and award-winning actress Meagan Good have learned firsthand that some people must wait patiently for “the one” to come into their lives. They spent years crossing paths but it wasn’t until they were thrown together while working on the film Jumping the Broom that their storybook romance began.
Faced with starting a new relationship and wanting to avoid potentially devastating pitfalls, DeVon and Meagan chose to do something almost unheard of in today’s society—abstain from sex until they were married.
DeVon and Meagan share the life-changing message that waiting—rather than rushing a relationship—can help you find the person you’re meant to be with. The Wait is filled with candid his-and-hers accounts of the most important moments of their relationship and practical advice on how waiting for everything—from dating to sex—can transform relationships, allowing you to find a deep connection based on patience, trust, and faith.

4By Taja98This book was very informative about how they went through their celibacy journey. I wish they went more in depth about having an accountability partner and telling the right people about your journey. I learned that some people are not going to be receptive so there is no sense in saying anything. The book definitely touched on the trials an tribulations that they encountered which made it easy to relate to.Theresa in Philly

5By shanecekhillThis book really helped me to keep my head above water while i was waiting on my husband and being celibate and just altogether being obedient to God will get you everything you need exceedingly abundantly ‼️A Great Read
5By Sincerely MayaThis book gave me so much insight. Before reading this book, it had only been a week or so since I declared celibacy. Now I am more clear and confident as to why I’m choosing the Wait. Thank you Megan and Devon for sharing your experience and being so open! The Wait
5By M1KE LowryThis book was amazing and the most important lesson i learned was that although there is a time for waiting and being with God, faith without works is dead. We have to play our part too and not just stay at home expecting for Mr/Mrs right to walk into our lives but we must Choose wisely. Great read!Worth The Wait!
5By Jay RobThis book found its way into my life at the perfect time. I just turned 31 and I was ready to make some permanent changes in my life. While doing some research on literature about the journey of celibacy, I came across this gem and I honestly wish I would have read it much sooner in my life. Devon Franklin and Meagan Good’s story was both educational and entertaining. I highly recommend this to any soul that is interested in personal development and open to a fresh perspective on dating and marriage that is told from a spiritual perspective.Mediocre
2By GrhdhebrbBook was mediocre, kind of repetitive wasn’t much entertaining.Amazing
5By Tall StalliooonnnnThis book was very influential, heartfelt and most importantly relatable. As oppose to demanding or making one feel like sinners; they explained their journey of how it was not easy and things they both dealt with in the past. This book was also an eye opener and a blessing as I navigate my relationship. This God-fearing couple never wavered and we need more examples of that in our generation as oppose to the Instagram posting pics with your partner then waiting for the masses to tell us of what “relationship goals” are. God is relationship goals first and thank you to these two for allowing Him to use you.Great
