Description

George Gordon Byron (22 Jan 1788 – 19 Apr 1824), was an English poet and a significant character in the Romantic movement, and one of its most notorious members. Among Byron's best-known works are Don Juan, Childe Harold's Pilgrimage and She Walks in Beauty.  Byron is up to date often regarded as one of the most influential British poets. He traveled all over Europe, was a Greek War with ottomans veteran, and died soon after at the age of 36.
The Siege of Corinth is a narrative poem by Lord Byron. The story is focused on the dramatic conclusion of Venetian resistance against ottoman hordes. On the one side of the conflict was Alp, a falsely accused Venetian renegade now fitting under the Ottoman flag, and on the other was Francesca, a governor’s daughter with whom Alp was in love. And these two share bonds of love and hate, which can affect the outcome of entire war. When time will come to choose between vengeance and forgiveness, what will their choice be? Read and find out!
