George Gordon Byron (22 Jan 1788 – 19 Apr 1824), was an English poet and a significant character in the Romantic movement, and one of its most notorious members. Among Byron's best-known works are Don Juan, Childe Harold's Pilgrimage and She Walks in Beauty.  Byron is up to date often regarded as one of the most influential British poets. He traveled all over Europe, was a Greek War with ottomans veteran, and died soon after at the age of 36.
Manfred is a play by George Gordon Byron. The story revolves around a nobleman living in the Bernese Alp named Manfred. After his beloved Astarte passed away, he was tormented by his own sense of guilt. In his search for forgetfulness, he appeals to magic and summons seven spirits, that fail to fulfill his request.
