Description
There are three things you need to know about Fiona Archer… I would tell you what they are, but then I’d have to kill you.
But I can tell you that Fiona’s husband, the always irrepressible and often cantankerous Greg Archer, is desperately in love with his wife. Yet as the years pass, Greg has begun to suspect that Fiona is a ninja. A ninja mom. A ninja wife. A ninja friend. After fourteen years of marriage, Greg is trying not to panic. Because Fiona’s talent for blending in is starting to resemble fading away.
However, when unexpected events mean Fiona must take center stage to keep her family safe, her response stuns everyone—Greg most of all. It seems like Greg’s wish has come true.
Except… not.
Happily Ever Ninja is book #5 in the Knitting in the City series. Each book is a standalone, full length (110k words), contemporary romantic comedy novel, and follows the misadventures and exploits of seven friends in Chicago, all members of the same knitting group.

A must read for any married person still in love
5By Jastes1012I am married 38 years and still deeply in love. I have waited a long time for a romance about married life and Ms Reid hit it out of the park with this one! The frustrations of living with someone, even with love and commitment, shine through in this witty, upbeat story. You must read the prequel first. Every book in this series was a hit and I have read them several times. Thank you, Ms Reid, and please write more!Fun

5By myownbookshelvesDid you read the prequel Ninja at First Sight ? No? Stop right there and do so. You need to understand these characters before you begin the journey of married life. Yes? Cool. Then be prepared. This isn't a typical Penny Reid book. Not typical I say? Yep, definitely. When someone asks me who my favorite humorous contemporary romance author - it's Penny Reid. She melds funny with touching and always a fantastic read. Well, Happily Ever Ninja is a fantastic read. But, it's not a Penny Reid everyday book. As she says it's 'weird'. I say - be prepared to think about marriage. "Are we going to have sex tonight? I have stuff to do and it's already nine thirty." I really don't want to give away the storyline. It's complex. It's can be political. It's touching. It's suspenseful. You aren't sure whose side you are on in the marriage war. I could relate to each characters needs and wants. Also their reasoning on why they choices they were making were the best. Marriage is hard. Fiona and Greg, well, lets say their marriage gets tested in ways no one ever wants to experience. However, this experience is a great parallel storyline of trust, listening and overcoming hardships that marriage really is. There was a slight lull in the story telling about half way through; otherwise it was engaging read. If you are a huge Penny Reid fan like I am, I highly recommend. You've probably read her Facebook post outlining how different and relevant the story is. So expect 'weird'. Are you new to Penny? Read the prequel first as you get a taste of her typical and then be prepared for different. 4.5 out of 5 stars.Happily Ever Ninja

5By wickster72What can I say...Penny just makes me fall a little bit more in love with her with every book. She does a wonderful job getting to the heart of a marriage and how to keep it. The struggle the characters goes through you find yourself screaming 'see it's not just me that feels this!' This book tugs on all your emotions. I loved every sentence.
