3By Kate4581I'm one of those people who is compelled to finish a book once I have started it. About a quarter of the way through, I wanted to give up. The first half of the book is SO SLOW. It picked up in the second half, and I was able to look forward to reading it. If you can get past the monotony of the first half, it gets better.Apprentice in Death

3By psychodanieNow, I'm a diehard Eve and Roark fan... and I buy each of these books the moment they come out. I enjoy reading and rereading them, but this one just didn't make the grade...there seemed to be a bit of redundancy throughout, and not a lot of excitement. Not a whole lot of he usual Eve/ Roark dynamic either. Maybe I will like it better when I read it a second time.Doesn't disappoint!!
