Description

The heat was staggering and she began to feel light headed. But she wasn’t leaving without him.

Alabama didn’t have a good start to life. Emotionally and physically abused by her mama, Alabama spent her high school years in foster care. People let her down, time after time, and she’d learned to rely on only herself.

Christopher “Abe” Powers earned his nickname because he tolerated nothing less than absolute honesty from the people around him. Finding the bar scene stale and having watched his friend and teammate, Wolf, find the woman of his dreams, Abe was determined to find someone to share his life with too.

Alabama and Abe had no idea their paths would cross and their prayers would be answered, but like most things in life, nothing is ever as easy as it seems at first. Two words would change both their lives and they’d have to fight hard for their happy ever after.

**Protecting Alabama is a stand-alone love story. It’s Book 2 in the SEAL of Protection Series.**

Alabama’s story broke my heart. I fell in love with her as much as “Abe” did. I am so happy to know they got their HEA.

I recommend NOT buying this book! It was a waste of money! I was so disappointed in this book! I absolutely loved the first book in this series “Protecting Caroline”. This book was nothing like it. This whole book is about Alabama’s traumatic past. She was beaten by her mother any time she spoke. The main conflict in the story is when Alabama was accused of stealing and when Abe was speaking to her about it, he tells her to “shut up”. It took her forever to forgive him. Like she is so perfect that she has never made a mistake in her life. She seems a bit self righteous. This book isn’t worth reading.

It’s hard to write a review for this one without giving away too much of the plot, but my absolute favorite thing about this book is Alabama’s strength, self respect, and heart. If you’re ever feeling down and need to get your hope in humanity reignited, give this book a read. The power of forgiveness is amazing for the soul. I cry every time I reread it and it always makes me realize how strong women are when we need to be but don’t worry, it has the best of happy endings !
  • Great second book

This book was a great second in this series. It offered a great change of Pace. The battle was not an outside force or terrorist but it was an inner demon. Wonderful romance.

Alabama is a kind, honest, and very decent person despite having had an abusive childhood. She meets Christopher, “Abe” when she helps save his and others’ lives during a fire. Christopher is a SEAL and Alabama’s actions not only impress him, it they make him admire her and take an interest in her. I love the navy SEALs and the unique and strong women they come to fall for.
  • So unrealistic

Very juvenile writing and unrealistic characters. I didn’t even finish the book.
