Description
Hurt people hurt people.
Say there was a novel in which Holden Caulfield was an alcoholic and Lolita was a photographer’s assistant and, somehow, they met in Bright Lights, Big City. He’s blinded by love. She by ambition. Diary of an Oxygen Thief is an honest, hilarious, and heartrending novel, but above all, a very realistic account of what we do to each other and what we allow to have done to us.
Reviews
Good stand-alone
3By sauidzeeeThis novel is interesting. It starts off very strong, stealing your breath away. Youl’’ find yourself gripping the pages of the book and excitedly turning to the next to see what the author has to say next. As the novel continues, it loses its initial charm. A good read, but can leave you bored halfway through. If you read the entire novel youll find theres 2 more parts. Personally, I will not be reading the next ones as I feel the first novel is all thats necessary.Interesting
1By Lextro9Very detailed, real or not, the points are very clear in this book. I also enjoy how this book is almost like listening to someone ramble. Incredible. It was honest
2By Genesismeow6This book was very interesting at first but got hard to finish. Story telling was great but it got old fast. Couldn’t finish it in long sitting because of how bland it got.It got boring
2By PamperrrrrrrrrThe beginning was pretty interesting but then it just got bland. The same thing over and over again.I love it
5By Cue98this was one of the most honest books i’ve read.i wanted to like this book so bad.
2By Sosa 35674689it didn’t hook me at all, the plot is very bland and mundane for me. i really do think this is a great book but not my cup of tea. i read 31% of this book and it just didn’t peak my interest at all. i can’t imagine finishing this book and reading the others, as much as i love the aesthetic. i would just say that this book is very realistic, so it doesn’t have the usual glamour and interest as fiction books because life isn’t as thrilling and glamorous in real life. it’s literal a diary, just some dude talking about his unhappy life. didn’t like it, but hey maybe it’s just not my cup of tea.Getting a taste of your own medicine

5By jeocnepencnfmxLike most of the other comments, I don't read much either. After reading the first page in a bookstore I purchased it and it's sequel. Finished the book in one day as I couldn't put it down. It's cleverly written and has a nice twist. Currently reading the sequel.Okay
3By Brimarie119I'm more of a mystery/thriller reader. This book was okay. I'm still not very happy with the ending and I don't want to read the sequel. Props to the author for staying sober and dealing with the sad mess. One word
