Description

I, Makayla Alexander, am on a mission to reinvent myself. So when a super hot guy boards the plane and flashes his rock hard abs, I pay attention. When he sits next to me and offers me his nuts, I can't resist. But when I choke on them, and he tells me I need to work on my gag reflex, I realize I might be in over my head.

Before I know it we're in the lavatory and attempting to join the Mile High Club. Let me just say this...anyone who tells you it's easy to get it on at 37,000 feet isn't telling you the truth. After the flight attendant busts us for getting frisky in the air, the only thing that can ease my total and complete mortification is the simple fact that I am never going to see him again.

Hours later, I can't help but wonder if fate will ever allow me to become a new version of myself.

Because Fate, she's a fickle bitch.

Case in point...my seatmate is my new next-door neighbor.

No Pants Required is a standalone romantic comedy guaranteed to heat you up! Don't forget to check out the other standalone books in this series--Bedwrecker and Hollywood Prince.

This book showed up on my BookBub. Read some reviews and one nailed it. This book wasn't great. It wasn't bad. It was entertaining. It is a great book to read to break your reading style and to read quickly. I just finished a 7 book series and I needed something to jilt me out of that mind set. This book did that.

This book is such a great summer read! Not that it wouldn’t be fabulous any time, but it’s definitely beach worthy! It’s funny, addictive, and sexy as hell. I suggest you grab a fan before you start reading. Cam and Makayla have both had their lives kind of self-combust and are looking for a fresh start. Cam had his world rocked enough to make him question everything in his life, even his own dreams. He wiped the slate clean-ish and moved from New York to California to live a bit of the beach bum existence. When Makayla drops into his life, he worries about dragging her down into the mess that is his life. He knows he should get it together, he just doesn’t know which direction to step in. She brings feelings (physically and emotionally) that he doesn’t have the strength to resist, but while she makes him feel happy again, she is only a part of the equation when it comes to finding himself. Cam is such a loveable character. He’s sweet and funny, enough alpha to make you swoon, and a dirty mouth that will melt your panties right off. I appreciated his reasons for fearing the consequences of a relationship with Makayla, though not the way he handled it at first. His life really was a mess. However, I was glad to see him give in so quickly and actually let himself fall for her without much resistance. Makayla has a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde personality. There were times when she drove me crazy with her attitude and her obsessive worrying. However, I still liked her as a character, especially her wit in bantering with Cam. It amazed me when she was able to think past the speechless Cam fog because I don’t know if I could have. Makayla moves to California to find herself as well, or, to find the person she used to be. She wants to loosen up, take life a little less seriously. While she’s striving for change and a new path in life, she has more direction than Cam, knowing what her dream is, though not completely sure how to achieve it, or if she has the courage to jump into it. Being such an obsessive worrier might have held her back in not for her friends and Cam. She’s smart and dedicated, but her emotional stability is rocky and it leads to some thoughtless actions and words. I have to applaud Cam for putting up with her rollercoaster. This story has its poignant moments, but for the most part, it is a light and incredibly enjoyable read. The secondary characters, particularly Maggie and Brooklyn, add flavor to the story. Their quirks, humor, and their unwavering support of their friends, weave an even stronger thread through the plot. The flow of the book is excellent, moving steadily along and never making me want to skip ahead. If anything, I was bummed when it was over so fast. It was perfect for the story, but I’d come to love Cam and Makayla and wanted to spend more time with them. Oh well, that’s what rereading is for and this book is definitely on that shelf!

Holy jeez! A warning to all, it will take you a fair amount of time to come down off of your Camden "Cam" high. I'm still on mine. I swear I heard the song "I'm to sexy" playing in my head half the time I was reading this book. Camden and Mackayla who's series of encounters had me laughing one minute, fanning myself the next, then had my heart melting. Cam was a smooth, hot & sexy, and soulful character. Mackayla was the kind of girl cam found intriguing, and the two were electrifying. Some of my favorite parts were The Book Club, and another kind of club, but just wow! The storyline was well written, hot, sizzling, and so heartwarming. I can't say enough about this book. It was everything and more. Thanks to the author for bringing us Cam. Great read!
