Description
Magnus Chase, a once-homeless teen, is a resident of the Hotel Valhalla and one of Odin's chosen warriors. As the son of Frey, the god of summer, fertility, and health, Magnus isn't naturally inclined to fighting. But he has strong and steadfast friends, including Hearthstone the elf, Blitzen the dwarf, and Samirah the Valkyrie, and together they have achieved brave deeds, such as defeating Fenris Wolf and battling giants for Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Now Magnus faces his most dangerous trial yet. His cousin, Annabeth, recruits her boyfriend, Percy Jackson, to give Magnus some pointers, but will his training be enough? Loki is free from his chains. He's readying Naglfar, the Ship of the Dead, complete with a host of giants and zombies, to sail against the Asgardian gods and begin the final battle of Ragnarok. It's up to Magnus and his friends to stop him, but to do so they will have to sail across the oceans of Midgard, Jotunheim, and Niflheim in a desperate race to reach Naglfar before it's ready to sail. Along the way, they will face angry sea gods, hostile giants, and an evil fire-breathing dragon. Magnus's biggest challenge will be facing his own inner demons. Does he have what it takes to outwit the wily trickster god?

Okay, so…
5By Coming4urelbowsheheI LOVE this book series, but there are a couple things that I need to address… 1. BLITZSTONE NEEDS TO BE CANON FOR MY SANITY PLEASE UNCOE RICK 2. Onefatpotatobug, as a lesbian, I say that you shouldn’t be homophobic. It’s just wrong to judge who someone likes. 3.As a lesbian I say this, but WHY ON EARTH DOES HEARTH GET TO BE SO FRICKIN CUTE 😭😭😭 Anyways, 100/10 would read again and again and again and… well… you get the picture haha -FreshEpic!SansGood
5By syadmdDon’t have much to say. Similar to the other Two books…. And onefatpotatobug, there’s no reason to hate gay people ya know. Some guys like kissing gender fluid guys, okay? U didn’t have to take one star out just for that bruh. I’m a big Riordan’s fan and I am part of LGBTQ+ community so yea😁
5By onefatpotatobugI absolutely loved this book. The only thing I don’t like is when Rick Riordan made Alex Fierro kiss Magnus Chase when Alex is in male form. Aside from that I loved it!Excellent - even for an 81-year old Mimi !!
5By Mimi1943This trilogy and the Percy Jackson novels were so much fun !! Loved the characters and how they interweaved throughout all the books. Thanks to my fantastic grandson & granddaughter for introducing me to the world of Rick Riordan !! On to Apollo !!New favorite book
5By LovegoodgirlThis book is beautifully paced and has everything you would expect from a Rick Riordan verse, plus Alex who just makes it that much better. The ending

5By luvlie😇✨👍Okay, I love this book, yadda yadda yadda. It’s amazing and I totally recommend it!!! BUT. Can we take a moment and realize the extreme stupidity of the person who said “ didn’t even show the fight of ragnarok”?? Because to have shown that, the “mortals”, aka us, the readers would have to have know what the world was pretty much ending, and so obviously he couldn’t writethat in. I’m really not trying to be mean here, just pointing stuff out!Nice conclusion to the series
4By Jamion34. It did an excellent job wrapping up character arcs and fleshing out relationships between the whole crew. In particular the characters Hearthstone and Mallory respectively really shined here. The best!
5By M.P. 😄I really love this series and I have this book on my bookshelf at home. I really like the characters and I think this book is really good at breaking off from the normal teen adventure and romance stereotypes to create a wonderful story. My favorite character is Alex and I think that she/he add a lot to the story. (Sorry if I phrased the pronouns wrong). I also love the fact that Sam is a strong independent Muslim girl and I hope that people won’t stereotype others just because of what the media says about those who are part of the Muslim culture and religion. For those of you who have said so on some other reviews, why would you say praising Allah is wrong? It’s part of her religion and is something she believes in. I may not be Muslim myself but don’t say someone practicing their religion is wrong. Another great thing about this book is that the narrator (Magnus) does not do everything on his own and is not the only one taking credit for the achievements in the book. This book is amazing and if you haven’t read the first two, you definitely should! I don’t think this book is political as someone’s religion or sexuality is not part of politics, but part of their own identity. Also, you should really check out Rick Riorden’s other book series like Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, or even Trials of Apollo if you have not already. I’m in high school and I still consider them to be my favorite books. Thanks for reading my review! I really hope you read this book, it will open you up to a whole new world! I really wish he’d make another one.My gods!
5By fjajsisThis is amazing. I’m 13 year old bi-gender person and these books made me feel like I belong somewhere. I don’t believe all of the bad reviews. Like what’s political about different cultures mixed into one? Or having a bi-gender person (like Alex) be in a book?Wow
5By jkalsupaenreThis was a suspense creating masterpiece that properly ended the series. One of the best books I’ve ever read. In this story Magnus has to get Kvasirs mead, beat Loki I’m a fluting, and delay Ragnarok even longer. You should definitely read this book and recommend it too friends. Rick Riordan writes really good books, making himself worthy of the title “The storyteller of the Gods.”AMAZING!
5By Laurel NaoneDon’t listen to the bad reviews! These are amazing books, I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! I am so happy that I have grown up in a environment that excepts other people no matter what, Rick I LOVE your books!Perfect
5By Nakao123This is definitely my most favorite book series of all time. All the characters are all very interesting and unique and the diversity is mind-blowing! There are all sorts of different races, religions, orientations, and abilities and all of them are done so respectfully without the use of stereotypes or assumptions. Poorly known identities are politely explained by the characters themselves, ensuring no stereotypes persist. It’s amazing and I’ve never seen anything like it!OMG SO GOOD
