The Revenge of the E-I-E-I-Ohs

Cape Cod is a horse-shoe shaped island jutting out 40 miles into the deep Atlantic off the coast of Massachusetts. There’s only one road leading from the first village, Bourne; to the 15th, and last, community on the big sandbar – Provincetown. Halfway from the first gleaming beach to the final stretch of dunes, is the town of Harwich. Sooner or later everyone passes through it. Some people stop for a rest at the 150 year old Pleasant Lake General Store. Surrounded on all sides by the deceptively serene waters of the several nearby lakes, they are calm and serene as they watch the summer panorama of thousands of riders on the bike trail and swimmers in the lake. Though mute, the lakes, the bike trail and the store itself; have many stories to tell. This is one of them……
