Description

Starting over at thirty-two is never fun, especially in a town the size of a postage stamp. Chasing that with having to beg for a job she’s wildly over-qualified for and Walker Wilder’s pride is really burned. But now that she’s the new events director for the historic Montana Graff Hotel, she’s tasked with creating buzz and traditions to fill rooms during the off-season. Halloween may not scream touristy, but hiring a spirit-hunting TV crew will definitely grab some headlines... But when the sexy spirit hunter shows up, he haunts more than her dreams.

Calum Quest is done. He’s created an entertainment empire by chasing something he’s never seen and is tired of asking questions with no answers. His life has been defined by ghosts he needs to exorcise, yet, when a red-haired, grey-eyed beauty with a body that melts his mind pours him a double shot of Laphroaig whiskey and challenges him to one more round, how can he say no?

Good story; too bad it was almost ruined by grammar and spelling a 3rd grader could do so much better—or am I insulting the student here?!

Halloween at the Graff has a good storyline but needs another pass with an editor. In my opinion, the background of the characters at the beginning was a bit repetitive. Also, I noticed grammatical errors that could be annoying to the reader.

Good storyline. Poor editing killed it for me.

I tried to get through this, I really did. I got half was through before finally deciding that was it. The story line is alright. I found myself focusing more on the writing style than the actually story. The writer goes from using long, drawn out sentences, to short clipped one or two word sentences. Personally, i find it distracting.

Walker Wilder ran from DC to Marietta Montana after a scandal left all the blame to her. Hoping to just be able to see her cousins that she never got to know. Callus Quest is the star of a cable show Ghost Quests who is ready to move on with his life. When Callum gets an email from a hotel in Montana wanting to be on the show he decides to swing by and politely decline and continue on to his friends ranch. When Walker and Callum spot one another there is an instant connection. Can Walker lower her guard and take a chance? And will Callum stick around long enough to let her? I went into this book with so many expectations and ended up feeling let down. The whole thing seemed rushed to me as well as the first few chapters were hard for me to really get into it.. I did like Walker and Callum’s characters and the setting of the Graff Hotel.

Halloween at the Graff (Holiday at the Graff Book 1) by Sinclair Jayne This is Callum Quest and Walker Wilder’s story. This was a fun read with mysteries or could it be ghosts with a hot romance. FYI, contains mature and graphic content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Excellent start to what should be a fun series of Marietta holiday stories featuring the historic Graff Hotel. This one is a Halloween themed story obviously and it's a good one. Walker Wilder is the new event planner for the Graff and it's her job to try and get business up during the off season. First challenge is Halloween. Bringing in a ghost hunter team seems like just the idea she needs to get interest up and bookings flowing. Calum Quest has built his career around ghost chasing but he's beginning to tire of the whole thing so taking on the Graff job isn't appealing. That is until he gets a look at Walker. Fun read that I definitely recommend.
