Description

Braxx is a Beast Kindred with a painful past. A traumatic crash stole his brother and his bride from him and left half of his face horribly scarred. Desperate to avoid the pitying and disgusted looks he gets whenever he goes out, he takes a job as a scout, travelling across the universe to find new trade partners and power sources for the Kindred. He thinks he'll never love again until he comes back to Earth and meets Molly.

Dr. Molly Reynaud has a doctorate in Cultural Anthropology. She's also completely blind and has been since a car accident stole both her parents and her sight at the age of sixteen. Chosen to do a field study on the elusive Tal'ossi people from Tal'os Trenta, she doesn’t expect to have feelings for the Kindred warrior who is supposed to guard her there. But she can't seem to help the instant connection she feels to Braxx and she knows he feels the same for her.

But he's scarred on the inside too and he tells himself such a perfect female isn't for him.
Then the unthinkable happens--Molly is kidnapped by the Deep Dwellers of Tal'ossi and taken down to the subterranean depths as a bride for their leader. Braxx must go after her and suddenly the idea of claiming turns from a wish to a necessity.

Can Braxx overcome his tragic past and save the woman he loves? And can Molly convince him they belong together? Both of them will have to practice Seeing with the Heart or they will be parted forever…

What an amazing story. This is probably one that I find a little more dear to my heart. This was about two souls that were trying to find their way. Molly was one that had excepted who she was but I have to say I feel like she felt love was not for her. For who wanted a blind person, well at least in my eyes that is what Molly thought. Braxx well he was damaged in more ways then one and the pain he carried will just break you heart. I just loved Molly. She was this sexy curvy woman. She had so many challenges in life. She was blind. I loved that we got to see some of the struggles that blind people goes through. I personally know due to having a blind friend and find myself asking her questions all the time. So many times we take things for granted and I think this book shows the little thing in life that can be a struggle for some and be taken for great by others. Braxx is a beast Kindred. Hello, how sexy is that. Braxx was so perfect for her. Braxx knew what it was like to fell unworthy of love. Braxx also knew what it was like to have felt loss. Molly had lost her parents and her sight at the same time. Braxx had lost his brother and gained physical and emotional scares. The goddess has plans for these two and at times you might be worried if things will work out. I love that these two are automatically attracted to each other. Braxx will do what every he needs to do to protect her. That is one thing I love about the Kindred is that they are protect of their females even before they realize that female belongs to them. This was a great story and glad I got a chance to read the book.

**Received ARC from Booksprout for a fair and honest review** Seeing with the Heart is part of the Kindred series and can be read as a standalone. While there are characters from previous books that do come up, I always think it's best to read the books in order. The author does a great job of ensuring you know who and what everything is in case you haven't read the other books. I loved this book and couldn't put it down. The author has such interesting storylines, it's not all barbie type women that you read about either. Dr. Molly Reynaud lost her vision tragically in a car accident that killed her family. Traumatized at first by the loss of her sight at 16, she worked hard to get past it and went on to become a Cultural Anthropologist. Now she's ecstatic she's got the opportunity of a lifetime to go a another planet and study their culture. Commander Braxx hasn't had the easiest life either. While on a ship they crashed and Commander Braxx lost his brother, and his betrothed decided to walk out on him. Scarred and bitter he doesn't think anyone will ever want him with his horrific scarring. This book was very difficult to put down. I really enjoyed the characters, their chemistry, and the storyline. Molly's character, her caring, kindness and strength really appealed to me. The author does a great job of really getting across the trials that someone without sight faces. I have a friend that lost her sight and it really felt like the author did her homework for this character. I really enjoy this series tremendously and can't wait for the next book in the series! Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own. I have read all the books in the Kindred series I have to say that this book might be one of my favorite by far. I'm so use to the heroine being so indecisive so insecure and not knowing if she wanted to be truly mated or not it was so refreshing to see that it was actually the hero Braxx with all the issues. Of course Molly has emotional pain too but she was able to come to terms with her pain, but Braxx has buried his so deep. I loved the adventure these two experience and the way Molly didn't let her disability define her as person and the way she help Braxx come to terms with his making this a fantastic story. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read looking forward to reading more books in the Kindred series.
