Introduction to the Cardiac ICU

This book is designed by resident physicians at Queen’s University as a resource for residents rotating through the Cardiac ICU. The ICU serves patients with severe and life threatening cardiac conditions including ischemic heart disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias.   

This book presents four common clinical scenarios that the reader must work though in an interactive format. The cases include ECGs, X-rays, MRIs,  and echocardiograms. Key guidelines and evidence based resources are referenced throughout the book.
