Description

After witnessing his parents’ doomed love affair, serial playboy Ash Younger decided long ago that love was not meant for him. With his charm and good looks, he’s never lacked for beautiful women. He may push numbers as an accountant by day, but by night, he’s only interested in having a woman in his bed.

Yet the night he encounters a mysterious—and gorgeous—widow who doesn’t immediately fall under his seductive spell, Ash realizes he wants her more than he’s ever wanted another woman.

Following the loss of her husband two years ago, Violet Fielding wants to focus on two things: her jewelry business and beginning her life anew in the small town of Fair Haven, Washington. She doesn’t have time for men or romance, and she certainly doesn’t have time for a man who’s a well-known playboy and younger than her.

Violet already found the love of her life in her husband, and after his death, she knew she could never love anyone again.

But when Ash kisses her, all of her plans and promises are turned upside down. A passion stronger than either Ash or Violet could imagine envelops them both one night—and that night changes everything.

As old heartbreaks threaten to tear the couple apart, both must find the courage to see that, of all things, love is worth a second chance.

This storyline has so much intimacy. You can’t help but laugh, cry and love all on the same page. Iris definitely makes the story feel alive. Excited to read book 2.

The book cover looks like the guy is 40+ years old! The girl looks like the younger one in the cover. The story sounded good but the book stunk.

Heartwarming, sweetly thrilling and emotionally engaging romantic journey for two people with heartbreaking pasts to overcome. Violet Fielding lost her husband and move to this small town to live with her mother-in-law. Ash Younger is a care free spirit and good time guy hiding a sad past and not looking for forever. Despite their best efforts the unexpected happens. Highly entertaining, emotional and uplifting story, would recommend to any romance lover.

Then Came You by Iris Moreland ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I loved this book..Iris Moreland is the best! Violet Fielding has spent the last two years mourning her husband William's death and feeling guilty about the possibility of moving on, she's only 33. She lives with her mother-in-law Martha and spends her time making jewelry for her business. When Iris is out at a bar, which is completely unusual for her, she meets 27 year old Ash Younger. He's usually a hit it and quit it kind of guy, but Iris peeks his attention like no other. She turns the tables on him though and doesn't see him for a month, until she accidentally runs into him at jewelry show...and he will not let her get away again! These two characters are wonderful together, but Iris still has issues to be taken care of. It's frustrating her inability to move on with someone who clearly wants her. I feel Ash is to die for, he's not only great looking and intelligent, but he understands Iris's pushing him away. He understands, but doesn't like it. Ash realizes where Iris is coming from and tries to never push her. What these two go through in their relatively short time together is very enjoyable and engaging. You just want them to finally be able to have a life like Ash never knew he wanted. Ms. Moreland gives these characters warmth and feeling. I voluntarily read this Advance Readers Copy for an honest review.

Violet Fielding move to Fair Haven two years after the death of her husband William to take care of her mother in law. Still grieving for her husband her mother in law convinces her to go out to a singles night. At the Fainting Goat bar she spots Ash Younger attending his nieces birthday party and they are instantly attracted to each other. I love how Violet and Ash work through their relationship with dealing with grief and trust issues. Iris Morland has the ability to write a wonderful story that you become emotionally involved with the the characters of the story. I highly recommend reading it and you will enjoy becoming involved with Violet and Ash story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
