It’s been decades since I’ve read space-based SF. Lost Solace was an extremely engaging welcome back to this classification. I barely put it down in the 19 or so hours it took to finish it. Now I have to get my hands on the second book of the series!

I read a lot of sci fi and this was definitely a different spin. Character’s personalities grow as the reader learns more as the story unfolds. Kept me curious and interested in knowing more. Plus side - I was never quite sure what really was happening or going to happen.

Ok, good story. Well told. Good creepy ambiance in the "lost ship". Sympathetic heroine and sidekick. Antagonists suitably despicable, well modeled after corporatist right wing scum of today. I enjoyed them and celebrated their defeat. Writing was smooth and never got in the way of immersion. Fun read, thanks.
