5By Micmac83To be honest, I began reading this book because I read a bad review. The reviewer only gave it one star, and they said that it was too hardcore and explicit. Which actually irritated me, it’s an erotic romance and the title is “Marks on My Skin”… Did you think it was gonna be sunshine, roses and stolen kisses in the garden?! It’s completely unfair to leave a poor review because you don’t like the genre. This book fearlessly navigates the complexities of passion, desire and self-discovery, blending evocative language with explicit scenes that propel the narrative. Howell skillfully crafts characters who not only engage in sensual encounters but also grapple with their own vulnerabilities. The characters aren't just about getting busy; they've got their own messy feelings to deal with! The explicit nature of the novel adds an unapologetic layer to the storytelling. What Shayne goes through opens my eyes to my sheltered life. She is a strong woman who is searching for her missing pieces. Can’t wait to continue the next book.
