3By Goddess AmaThis is my first time reading a Joyce Meyers book, although I’ve known a lot about her. Healing the Soul of a Woman was referred to me & when I first started reading it, I thought, “oh no. Another book cramming a ton of spiritual scriptures at me 🙄.” I’m not a religious person but I know Joyce was going to bring the Bible into it. The scriptures weren’t bad additions but I was expecting a story. Although Joyce did share some of her healing and of others, I felt like the book was missing more of those lessons. For me when reading, I enjoy the art of storytelling. One lesson or story leading to another but it seemed like there were topics she wanted to address but no thorough story to Use to fully capture me as a reader. Especially the last chapter. I wasn’t expecting it to close so suddenly with the suggestion of reading the Bible.Really good book on self help
