BUT SHE LOVES YOU NOT: Lurking in the shadows is a rival, a woman who shares a deep bond with the man she loves.
AND SHE'LL STOP AT NOTHING: Emily chose Adam, but she didn’t choose his mother Pammie. There’s nothing a mother wouldn’t do for her son, and now Emily is about to find out just how far Pammie will go to get what she wants: Emily gone forever.

The Other Woman will have you questioning her on every page, in Sandie Jones' chilling psychological suspense about a man, his new girlfriend, and the mother who will not let him go.

I wanted to like this, but the characters are beyond believe, and the writing is stilted. I can’t imaging anyone acting like the people in this novel. It does not read true.

Enjoyed this book to the fullest! I couldn’t stop turning the next page. Almost disappointed it had to end. Loved her writing style!

I bought this book a couple years ago but I just couldn’t get through it. I pushed myself to finally finish it. It’s entertaining but the characters are beyond frustrating. The ending was great however as adults there could’ve been a million and one different opportunities to communicate what needed to be said to avoid a lot of heartache and pain.

I wanted this book to be better but it just was so tedious to read I found myself skipping paragraphs to help move the story on. The whole story is ridiculous and the plot is basically a painful account of what can happen when literally NO ONE has adult communication skills. The “game” the mum played to try to convey a message was ridiculous and could have been conveyed in a 5 min ho eat adult talk. The plot is annoying because the characters are all so completely inept and create senseless drama that even when the reason why is revealed you are left thinking “there were 100 and 20 better ways to handle that situation” the other issue is it get so exhausting going through the long drawn out relationship between Emily and Adam a relationship that never felt real or had any substance and all the characters were people no one would ever want to know let alone respect. Basically a story of idiots who can’t communicate and cause their own drama by acting like incompetent losers

I had picked this book up to read more than once, it was a hard read for me to get through. But this last time I pushed myself to finish. I feel like it’s about a 2.5 stars both Pammy and Emily are equally immature. The ending I feel like was 2 pages of great story, all smooshed to try and make the book worth. It didn’t do it for me.

I really enjoyed The Guilt Trip, so I thought , read some others. Should have skipped this one! The main character is so mind numbingly frustrating. The whole plot was whiny and really ridiculous, I bought it, so I finished it, but save your money.
  • Over-reliant on stereotypes, unoriginal plot, poorly developed characters

This reads like a freshman attempt at fiction; the set-ups and conflicts are trite and obvious. Couldn’t make it through, too painful. There are too many other books in the world worth reading to continue wasting time on this insipidity.
