Description

I’m one of four Willow daughters.
He’s the first-born son of the Scafoni family. And we have history.

For generations, the Scafoni family have demanded a sacrifice of us. A virgin daughter to atone for sins so old, we don’t even remember what they are anymore.

But when you have as much money as they do, you don’t play by the rules. You make them.

And Sebastian Scafoni makes all the rules.

The moment I saw him, I knew he would choose me. Even though the mark on my sheath declared me unclean. Even though my beautiful sisters stood beside me, offered to him, he still chose me.

He made me his.
And then he set out to break me.

  • Too dark

This book was too dark, there was nothing romantic about the way the guy treats this girl. It was horrible and humiliating. This was not a love story with dark twist, it was absolutely awful.
  • Like a first draft of Unholy

This book reads like a first draft of Unholy; it’s significantly darker and noticeably less polished and similar plot. May still be perfectly enjoyable for some, but as I stumbled upon Knight’s Unholy series as my first introduction to her writing, this was working backwards for me. Looking forward to future books from Knight, Unholy was great; Taken was ok.
  • No one can write a dark, seductive mafia, romance as Natasha Knight!

Ms. Knight’s novels are penned in a lucrative realm of dark and dangerous, intense blazing passion, leaving readers hypnotized and grasping for more, addicted to her every word. Natasha’s heroines are spirited, feisty, confident, foxy women, who are capable of rising to their rightful seats as queens to their kings, standing side by side, as formable informants conquering and diminishing their common enemies. The heroes are powerful, intense, vigorous, and determined men thinking they have the upper hand seducing their prey, trying to bend her with what they have envisioned, yet all know in the game of tug of war there can only be one winner. Guess who wins? I highly recommended all of Natasha Knight books these are my favorites: **“Taken, Torn, Twisted,” (Dark Legacy Trilogy) **”Collateral & Damage: an Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance,” (Collateral Damage Duet) **”Salvatore, Dominic, & Sergio” (Benedetti Mafia Word) **”Descent,” (Standalone Dark Romance) **””Unholy: The Beginning,” (Novella - recently released 8/4/20 & FREE Limited Time)

If your version of romance is being offered up for kidnapping by your parents in a humiliating display of twisted, deplorable family values, being beaten (literally whipped, raped and sodomized) and that’s what turns you on...well this book is for you. Absolutely no character development just jump into rough, really rough sex and suddenly the characters are madly in love with each other or obsessed. Either way not my proverbial cup of tea. To be fair to the author, this is reasonably well written with evil characters and subplots within subplots. The characters become more engaging as the story progresses. The plot and the characters are just so base and in your face as to be off-putting to me. Again, if this is your thing, you just might enjoy it.

This book is based on fear, violence, rape, humiliation against the female character. I did not find it romantic or interesting.... if anything I was deeply disturbed. Do not recommend.

I enjoyed this story, loved the family rituals. Sebastian is hot. I loved the heroines snarky attitude. I’d recommend this book. I can’t wait until the next story comes out tomorrow! Definitely one clicking it.

This story concept grabbed me from the very first paragraph and simply would not let me go. When I was not reading it, I was thinking about what could be happening next. Turn your phone's off and forget about eating. You will not want any interruptions until you are done. A family with quad daughters must allow another family with three sons to select one daughter to live with them for three years. Helena is chosen by Sebastian, the eldest. Helena goes through fear, pain, terror, lust and confusion in her time with Sebastian. Sebastian is a stern disciplinarian, a thorough lover, and becomes possessive of Helena. This book ends on a cliff hanger. I am hoping that the wicked Stepmother and the youngest brother get their comeuppance. They are real douche bags. I loved this book and cannot wait for book 2!
