Description

A bullet takes out his rig, but a mechanic captures his heart…

When Jackson is forced to pull his rig to the side of the road as the radiator overheats, he’s not impressed, but when a bouncy mechanic in camo drives back to help him, he’s even less enthralled – with himself. She’s smart, capable, single and knows a whole lot more about mechanical things than he does.

But when he hears that it’s a bullet that’s brought his rig to a stop, he knows exactly what to do – save the woman at his side and find the men who did this.

Deli was sent to assist Jackson and his sidelined rig. Only to find they are caught up in a double cross that has bullets flying and bodies dropping… some of them very close to her.

If only it was that simple… as the bodies start to fall, and their passion starts to heat up… who will be the final casualties in take the last shot in the final act?

  • Amazing characters!

3.5 Stars This is book 19 in the SEALs of Honor series and it features Jackson and Deli. The mystery and suspense was in high speed throughout the book. By that I mean there was so much “whodunnit” going on there wasn’t room for ANY romance. The characters were amazing but I was looking for the romance that didn’t make an appearance until the last half of the last chapter. ZERO romance until the very end. I really like this author but I was a little disappointed in this one.

This book was non-stop action from the very beginning. Deli is a strong woman who knows what she wants. Jackson is protective of Deli without trying to shut her out of the action. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who likes action with their romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
  • More of murder mystery

I was kindly provided this book as an ARC; in exchange for my honest review. This is book 19 in the SEALs Of Honor series. This book revolves around Jackson a recent transfer to Mason’s SEAL team and Dahlia (goes by Deli) a Navy heavy equipment mechanic. (Which I thought is awesome since she’s a tiny 5’2”). The story opens with Jackson having volunteered to drive a transport vehicle after the original driver “accidentally” shoots himself in the foot. Jackson makes a quick pit stop for a washroom and drink; when he realizes he lagging behind the rest of the transport team. Jackson’s vehicle is overheating, so Navy mechanic Dahlia (Deli) reroutes to check on him. Upon inspection Deli discovers Jackson’s vehicle has a bullet through the radiator.. This book was very different in pace and structure from the previous books in the series. Not saying it’s a bad thing, but it had much more of a “who-done-it, type of mystery” than a military/romance story. Ms. Dale has written several murder/mystery books lately. So maybe she’s still in the groove!)
  • A Tale About a SEAL and a Mechanic and a Dart Down the Rabbit Hole

Jackson, a SEAL with many talents, was pulled off on the side of the road. Deli, petite but very talented as a mechanic and problem solver, stops to offer her help. And the adventure begins (perhaps better described as Alice's Trip Down the Rabbit Hole). The story is filled with twists and turns and, oh, more than a few bodies. And throughout the tale I found myself asking "good guy? bad guy? But, but . . . ?" I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
