Description

Two contentious elections. One dead philanderer. A monumental conspiracy.

In the midst of Acting Coroner Fenway Stevenson's reelection campaign, the body of a successful business owner is found in a pedestrian underpass—and she discovers that her young, hated stepmother is the prime suspect. As if that's not bad enough, further digging only exposes a money-laundering scheme that could implicate dozens of residents in the coastal town she calls home.

Each clue she uncovers puts her in more danger. After an attempt on her life, and with more bodies piling up, how will Fenway solve the mystery, win the election—or simply save her own life?

Other than some grammatical issues and filling in words that weren’t included it was a good story.

The third installment of Fenway’s story as the county coroner goes straight into a frenzy and leaves you wanting to know what’s going to happen. With other involvements occurring during the story it leaves you knowing what is to come, but then takes you back to the beginning. And the end of the story leaves you at a strike and a heartbreaking moment. Overall, the Fenway Stevenson stories keep me glued to ever page. Can’t wait for the next book.

Having read the first two Coroner books, I was impatient to begin the third book. I bought it on the release date and was so involved I finished it on the following day! I'm willing to forego sleep when a book is that good!!
