Description

Never trust a man who answers the door wearing nothing more than a pair of low-cut jeans and a panty-melting smirk.

Being a romance novelist comes with its perks but when Ethan Rochester enters my life and interrupts my solo writing retreat, my world turns upside down.

I write about guys like him for a living—sexy and charming, yet reluctant to get into a serious relationship. His body’s the ultimate temptation, but his condescending personality makes him a notorious heartbreaker.

When we’re forced to be neighbors, he makes me forget my rules, and soon my upcoming deadline isn’t the only thing I’m dreading.

*Can be read as a complete stand-alone! Formally titled Falling for the Bad Boy. Content has not changed.*

This story was so beautiful. It was the perfect combination of heartbreak, uncertainty, love and steam. Ethan and Vada deserved their HEA. This story was so sweet and it is now one of my favorites.

Omg when I tell you this is one of the best ones I’ve read of my short time reading romance novels I mean it!!! I loved how detailed it was and there were many twists and turns with their story. I can tell I’ll be reading this again in the future!

I think I kind of hated it. They fell in love after a short week and then he waited on her a whole year??? This just doesn’t happen in real life. He wasn’t a bad boy AT ALL so that makes her kind of judgmental. Even the bantering at the beginning felt forced, like she really couldn’t stop herself to listen for 5 seconds and made up her mind... I really wanted to like it but it just wasn’t my cup of tea. Not this time...

Vada felt like she was in one of her romance novels when she caught herself staring at the chiseled chest of Ethan, her South Carolina landlord. All she wanted to do was work on her latest book, break out of her writer’s block and relax with her words. She never expected to come face to face with Mr. Sex on a Stick the minute she arrived. He is definitely a distraction that she doesn’t need even though she can’t stop looking at him. Ethan was intrigued by his houseguest with the bright green eyes and cute name. He never knows what to expect when he rents out his guest cottage and he was pleasantly surprised to see Vada, with her smart remarks and city girl style. He spends all of his time alone and it was flattering that Vada was checking him out, which was why he answered the door without his shirt on; just to see if he could get a rise out of her, and he certainly did. This should be a fun week and you never know; Vada may end up liking him after all. I have read this book many times and I never get tired of it. Vada has a brazen attitude that keeps Ethan on his toes, which he seems to like about her. He finds himself slowly emerging from his solitude due to the chemistry that exists between them. Sometimes love surprises you and appears out of nowhere. It is up to you to decide what to do with it.

For a free book this is really good, almost no grammar or spelling errors and the plot is very well developed. The love scenes are very intimate and in depth which is good and bad lol, bad because it seemed to come out of no where in the beginning. It was also confusing to me how easily Ethan could sleep around with no conscious but also didn’t want to betray his late wife... maybe thats just how his character grieves but it didn’t seem realistic or fitting. Either way the ending was sweet I wish there was more on the pregnancy though but glad I read the book.
