This book has amazing and well developed characters, secrets, suspense, unexpected plot twists, dark romance, and sizzling chemistry. I could not put this book down until I had consumed every page! I strongly recommend this phenomenal book, but be warned, this novel ends in a cliffhanger which will be continued in Ella Miles’s next book in this series entitled Twisted Vow. 5By ClearHFast and furious with lots of intrigue, suspense and lies. I loved Zeke’s character and his intense need to protect and save. His obsession with Siren overrode everything as he was determined to keep her safe. What a twist that was both powerful and disturbing. I was so sad for Zeke!! 5By bellamimi1207OMG! This is such an incredible start to a new series, while incorporating characters from characters from Ella Miles’ “Truth or Dare” series. Zeke, a bodyguard for the main character in Truth or Dare books, is shot and falls overboard while fighting on an enemy’s yacht. His friends search but cannot find him, finally having to accept that he has gone to a watery grave. .....until a siren comes along and finds him releasing some flotsam that he has been clinging to, but making the ultimate decision to just let go and die. She refuses to let him die, hauling him up aboard her boat and carrying him to her home island. She brings him to a “friend” who pays for the best of care for him. In return Zeke must give a certain amount of time in the employment of his “savior,” the man he believes rescued him. As the business his boss is in expands from drugs and guns to human trafficking, Zeke agrees to try making a deal with another cartel whose main business is human sex slave trafficking. When he sees the girls who are up for sale, he recognizes a certain “siren” as a slave being made ready to sell, and he knows he must save her from the hell she is being sold into. 5By RobbobReviewOkay… confession time! I absolutely loved the Truth or Lies books. BUT, Zeke stole my heart in that series. I just couldn’t imagine him gone…. I even refused to think or say ‘dead’. I kept hoping he was alive and well, so I conjured up ways in my mind that he survived. Well, my Zeke lives, and boy does he live. And if this first book in ‘his’ series is any indication, I’m going to have a lot of sleepless nights binging on each new release. Zeke is one tough cookie. He’s intimidating, but he’s oh so cuddly with his own sense of honor. What a combination. How do you not love Zeke? And Siren, the one who saved Zeke from sure death? Well, I truly do appreciate what she did, but I need to read more before making up my mind about her. All I can say is, she’d best not stab him in the back. Trust me, when you get to the end, you will question everything. True to her writing style in ‘Truth or Lies’, Ella Miles continues here. There are twists, there are upheavals, there are plots and subplots. Annnnnd, Zeke is back. And not just back, but terrifyingly back. LOVE IT! 👁 OBSERVATIONS: ... Readers need to know this is a dark romance that deals with what I call 'triggering' topics. ... Normally, I'm not a fan of cliffhangers. But Ella Miles has a way of making cliffhangers acceptable. She completely lures you into the storyline and instead of being upset with the cliffhanger, you drool for more.
