MURDER IN THE MANOR (A LACEY DOYLE COZY MYSTERY—BOOK 1) is the debut novel in a charming new cozy mystery series by Fiona Grace.
Lacey Doyle, 39 years old and freshly divorced, needs a drastic change. She needs to quit her job, leave her horrendous boss and New York City, and walk away from the fast life. Making good on her childhood promise to herself, she decides to walk away from it all, and to relive a beloved childhood vacation in the quaint English seaside town of Wilfordshire.
Wilfordshire is exactly as Lacey remembers it, with its ageless architecture, cobblestone streets, and with nature at its doorstep. Lacey doesn’t want to go back home—and spontaneously, she decides to stay, and to give her childhood dream a try: she will open her own antique shop.
Lacey finally feels that her life is taking a step in the right direction—until her new star customer turns up dead.
As the newcomer in town, all eyes are on Lacey, and it’s up to her to clear her own name.
With a business to run, a next-door neighbor turned nemesis, a flirty baker across the street, and a crime to solve – is this new life all that Lacey thought it would be?

Ok read
3By xxxreadBut it went on and on and on. I became bored about half way through the book.I liked & finished it.
3By aunti nanaIt was upbeat which I liked, but felt like a cheesy romantic book my mom used to read. It took too long to get to the murder! Also I suggest the writer learn the difference between British and American adages. Even their regular manner of speech sounded too Americanized. Beware of giving the end away, I knew the second she found the Bible with compartments, that was where the daughter had the key.Murder in the Manor
4By Priscilla B. D.A little slow getting to the murder. But good plot. Good story. Leaves you hanging at the end with her father. PDTake a Trip to an English Seaside Village
5By FerreelA fun little read for an afternoon. It has a balanced blend of interesting and quirky characters, a pleasant journey over the cobblestones of a mystery, and a bit too subtle budding romance. Enjoy!Good mystery
4By Brenda622Nice cozy mystery. A few twist and turns with a little romance thrown. What’s not to like?Pleasant cozy mystery
4By ginnyneedsabeachNice cozy mystery. Lots of likable characters with endearing personalities. A few easily unlikable characters for a good balance.COZY
4By kiera vanesseThis book is exactly what it advertises. It was a very cozy read. At times I took a break because it could feel mundane, and slow, but that’s simply because I’m used to reading overly dramatic thriller and mystery books and this is not that, although, there are still many twists and turns. Th ending wasn’t as shocking as I thought, but I had to finish and find out anyway, and I am happy I did.Entertaining!
4By AHavens1I love a cozy mystery and this doesn’t fail. Looking forward to spending some more time with Lacey in the rest of the series!Good English mystery
4By mtr694Lots of red herrings and surprises. Little is as it appears!A fun read
5By myrandaemsI really enjoyed this book. I got it awhile ago but I was t I to read much just because I had lost the touch of it awhile ago but since I have been getting back into reading this was a good switch from the other genres. I enjoyed that it kept me thinking about who did what.
