Description

King Grey has unrivaled strength, wealth, and prestige in a world governed by martial ability. However, solitude lingers closely behind those with great power. Beneath the glamorous exterior of a powerful king lurks the shell of a man, devoid of purpose and will.

Reincarnated into a new world filled with magic and monsters, the king has a second chance to relive his life. Correcting the mistakes of his past will not be his only challenge, however. Underneath the peace and prosperity of the new world is an undercurrent threatening to destroy everything he has worked for, questioning his role and reason for being born again.

Book was mostly character development, really reeled me into the story as I read page after page unable to stop. 10/10 read.

A lot scenes were missing like, how Arthur got informed about the war, and how he got teleported, the great battle he had... the Arthur seems to mainly want to focus on his relationships

I started with the web comics. It eventually became agonizing to wait every week for an update, so I turned to the novel. This is one of the most engaging novels I have read in a long time. The hours I spend reading just melt away as I get engrossed into the story. I suppose this kind of story appeals to me most. The author did a wonderful job with the world-building and character development. I just can’t get enough.

Man, I never leave reviews but this series is quickly becoming one of my favorites, and I’ve read a lot of books. I started with the audible version which is narrated by Travis Baldree and they are simply amazing. I liked them so much I moved to the actual books as the audio is just books 1-4. On that note please catch up the audio books it’s truly the best way to absorb this story!
