Description

The seductive and stunning #1 bestselling sequel to Sarah J. Maas's spellbinding A Court of Thorns and Roses.

Feyre has undergone more trials than one human woman can carry in her heart. Though she's now been granted the powers and lifespan of the High Fae, she is haunted by her time Under the Mountain and the terrible deeds she performed to save the lives of Tamlin and his people.

As her marriage to Tamlin approaches, Feyre's hollowness and nightmares consume her. She finds herself split into two different people: one who upholds her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court, and one who lives out her life in the Spring Court with Tamlin. While Feyre navigates a dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms. She might just be the key to stopping it, but only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future-and the future of a world in turmoil.

Bestselling author Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her dazzling, sexy, action-packed series to new heights.

I’ve enjoyed these books so much that I gobbled them up in days, not being able to set them down. Even as I’d do the mundane day-to-day tasks at hand, my mind would wander to what was happening in Prythian. I wanted to know what would happen so badly that I sped through the pages. Now that I know, I plan to read these books again, and again… A sincere thanks to the author and all involved for bringing this beautiful fairytale into my life.

🔥 From Cringe to Court of Dreams: A Review of A Court of Mist and Fury I'm thrilled—and relieved—to admit that the popular consensus is right: this series genuinely gets better after the first book! While A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) left me cringing, feeling like I was reading a childish, highly dramatic version of Beauty and the Beast—from the ridiculous "dominant fae males" to Feyre's frustrating behavior—A Court of Mist and Fury (ACOMAF) is a complete turnaround. Perhaps finishing the Throne of Glass series, which I instantly loved, better prepared me for this particular fantasy realm. Regardless, this sequel immediately captivated me in a way the first book never did. And let's be honest: Rhysand. Yes, ladies, I finally understand the hype! Rhysand's introduction and development are a game-changer that completely elevates the story. ACOMAF saved this series for me. We jump from a reluctant two stars for the series opener straight to a solid five-star rating for Book 2. I would absolutely read this book again. The ending had me internally screaming (in a good way)! Now, here’s the tough part: you can’t skip the first book to get to this one. You need the foundation of ACOTAR to truly understand the depth of Book 2's improvement and why the characters, especially Feyre and Rhysand, are the way they are. If you dislike this second installment, however, you probably won't enjoy the rest of the journey. I'm officially hooked and will definitely be continuing the series!

I read the first book and was like eh, what’s all the hype about? I almost didn’t read this one. But now I’m going back to red book 1 to fully appreciate the beauty. The world building. All of it - thank you

This book is everything. The actually believable character growth, the slow-burn romance, the shift in setting. All of it worked! Everything is so perfectly portrayed and the world really stars opening up geographically and politically. This book and the next are easily my favorite of the series.

Just when things get good the author looses steam. Hard to stay engaged. Took reading 70% of the book to get to the good parts
