1By NoTaAsI usually am a fan of Lexi Timms, but this book was not up to her usual standards. I thought it was very surface level. There was no emotional connection or chemistry built up between Tom and Chelsea. I felt the characters were thrown together and we as readers were just supposed to go with it.Darkest Hour

With a father like hers, I don’t blame her for some of her antics disguised as a cry for his attention. As always, it takes people almost losing someone to make them realize what’s really important. 4By nicky012I received a free copy from the author and is willingly giving my review. It was an interesting read with the typical plot. Tom was forbidden to date Chelsea, by her dad, the president of the USA, who hired him to protect her. Of course he can’t resist her and got in trouble. It had a decent plot development toward the end where he end up saving her. It is a series book, so it ended on a cliff hanger but it was a very soft cliff hanger. All in all it was a decent read.Wow

4By _kk_20First book in My Darker Side series. It does end on a cliffhanger but it's a pretty mild one. This book instantly pulled me in and I read it in one sitting! I really liked Tom's character but it took me a while to warm up to Chelsea and her bratty attitude. Luckily she seemed to come to her senses and I hope author will develop her character more in the future books. I liked their chemistry but I also think that everything that happened between them was a bit rushed. Especially considering how persistent Tom was in getting this job and how much it meant to him. I just expected that being torn between his job and his feelings for Chelsea would have larger focus in this first part. Overall, solid start for this series with interesting plot and characters. I look forward to reading the next part! I received a copy of this book from author and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.Excellent!
