4By Kimbo1216I liked the story and characters. It was good and I liked the somewhat unique timetable. I have read much set in the 1300s. However, as much as i enjoyed the story, i was a bit distracted by some writing. We’re told that Reade’s accent got stronger the farther north they went. However, we don’t see this in the dialogue. Everything stayed too proper. Ex. Continued use of don’t instead of doona. It’s one thing to tell use but it evokes a whole other essence if we’re shown. Change his accent in the wiring and spelling of words. Same with the other scots. It’s a good way to easily distinguish between the English and Scottish.Didn’t read even one age

3By My Passion Is ReadingThe story overall was good, however, the book needs a good editor. The prologue doesn’t match the story. In the prologue, her uncle was the Earl of Wessex and in the story he is the Earl of Sussex. Also in the prologue, her brother was Peter, but in the story he was Benji. It is confusing to say the least. There were also slow spots in the story that made it feel like the story was dragging on, then the book suddenly ends. If the author wanted to lengthen the book, she could have added to the ending and take out the slow parts of the story.a few mixed details but a good story over all
4By Moni Coronai liked the story a tol but it starts off with names stated one way then the names go away like wessex into sussex, peter to benji, mother’s brother into father’s brother, father’s family into mother’s nephew and those are at the beginning of the story. i’m having a hard time explaining how it goes but it made the story a little hard to follow if you don’t look past the mix-ups.
