My wife and I had started down this path several months ago and reading The Comfort Crisis reinforces what we are trying to accomplish (at a much lower level šŸ˜‚). Impossible to put it down.

Great balance between his own personal adventure and the adventures (and scientific findings) of others.

Generally, books like this tend to be a mixture of a series of short stories paired with actionable information. Instead, all we get is a long-winded series of stories of the author doing impressive things that somewhat coalesce into a vague point that along the idea that you shouldn’t be spending too much time in your ā€œseventy-two degree, temperature-controlled apartment.ā€

Writer does a good job of mixing the story with the purpose and facts to back it up. Good read.

Did he say that homohabilis (sp) stood about 5’10ā€ tall? Not sure about that…otherwise I feel like this book was worth listening to.

A deep dive into the spirituality and connectedness acquired from prolonged remote Alaskan expedition. Very good life hacks and a good insight into the biological options to making us healthier mentally and physically.

Read this while doing 75Hard…love the idea of rucking and will be adding that to my workouts. This book was very well written and I’ve already recommended to friends.

I’ve read dozens of self-improvement, productivity, and theory books. This one crushes all of them. The real life experiences of the author are tied to how we experience life around us, and he succinctly teaches us why our perspectives are altered by the comforts of modern life. I’m inspired and can’t wait to get out there (more)!
  • Profoundly Impactful

Just what I needed. A reminder that life has likely gotten a little too easy and sadly the consequences are literally deadly. Have already started to make small adjustments in my daily life. More will follow.
