Description
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Funny Story comes a sparkling novel that will leave you with the warm, hazy afterglow usually reserved for the best vacations.
Two best friends. Ten summer trips. One last chance to fall in love.
Poppy and Alex. Alex and Poppy. They have nothing in common. She’s a wild child; he wears khakis. She has insatiable wanderlust; he prefers to stay home with a book. And somehow, ever since a fateful car share home from college many years ago, they are the very best of friends. For most of the year they live far apart—she’s in New York City, and he’s in their small hometown—but every summer, for a decade, they have taken one glorious week of vacation together.
Until two years ago, when they ruined everything. They haven't spoken since.
Poppy has everything she should want, but she’s stuck in a rut. When someone asks when she was last truly happy, she knows, without a doubt, it was on that ill-fated, final trip with Alex. And so, she decides to convince her best friend to take one more vacation together—lay everything on the table, make it all right. Miraculously, he agrees.
Now she has a week to fix everything. If only she can get around the one big truth that has always stood quietly in the middle of their seemingly perfect relationship. What could possibly go wrong?

5By ADefendorfI’m not one for fiction novels, especially those with some romance — but I just developed my first book crush and I’m hooked.7/10
4By cookies 0234It was really good toward the end, felt like it took way too long (till page 500) to get to the good stuff but loved the ending.Feel Good Love Story
5By golfclubbookcluThis book offered a bright spot to everyday with my reading. I loved how it bounced back from years back to present. The writing was on the wall with the outcome but the author does keep you guessing. A beautiful love story that I am sure many can relate too. After reading I hope you take the chance and don’t waste time saying the words, you might not get to someday.Everything you want

4By liberteabelleI will read anything and everything by Emily Henry! Her dialogue is so incredibly funny, witty and interesting - it reminds me of the clever give and take I have with my siblings (them, not me - I am sadly the straight man, er, woman). I also love the well-crafted characters in all her books. A well developed character is so important, and she does not disappoint in this book. Great characters and great dialogue are important, but plot is #3 for me, and I didn’t enjoy the plot in this book. This is the 4th of Emily’s books that I’ve read in 2 weeks (see? Toldja I love this author, but she’s new to me!). Of those books, 2 of them hit all 3 points for me. This is one that missed and here’s why: I don’t enjoy a book that has some mysterious thing in the past that the entire story builds up to a crescendo, and would have been much better if they’d addressed it long ago. Because of that, it’s kinda boring. Just GET TO IT please. But that’s just me… I know most of your readers love it. But she’s such a great writer that I can’t give her less than 4 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK!
5By A.GuentherIt kept me wanting to read more every time I finished my “one more chapter”.
