Description
#1 New
York Times bestseller Susan Elizabeth Phillips returns to her beloved
Chicago Stars series with a romance between a Chicago Stars quarterback and one
of the world’s greatest opera singers—and a major diva.
“Re-entering
the world of the Chicago Stars is like a beloved friend come to call.” — #1 New York Times bestselling author Robyn Carr
Thaddeus Walker Bowman Owens, the backup quarterback for the
Chicago Stars, is a team player, talented sideline coach, occasional male
underwear model, and a man with a low tolerance for Divas.
Olivia Shore, international opera superstar, is a driven
diva with a passion for perfection, a craving for justice, too many secrets—and
a monumental grudge against the egotistical, lowbrow jock she’s been stuck
with.
It’s Mozart meets Monday Night Football as the temperamental
soprano and stubborn jock embark on a
nationwide tour promoting a luxury watch brand. Along the way, the combatants
will engage in soul-searching and trash talk, backstage drama and, for
sure, a quarterback pass. But they’ll also face trouble as threatening
letters, haunting photographs, and a series of dangerous encounters complicate
their lives. Is it the work of an overzealous fan or something more sinister?
This is the emotional journey of a brilliant woman whose
career is everything and a talented man who’ll never be happy with second
place. Tender and funny, passionate and
insightful, this irresistible romantic adventure proves that anything can
happen…when two superstars collide.

Possibly Her Best Book Yet
5By OGSuePLoved the characters and how they were so in touch with their feelings. I’ve read this twice and I am sure the third reading will be just as enjoyable as the first two. She’s Baaack…
5By BiminiTwist57Thank goodness! Though I sympathize with writers wanting to break out of their genres, I don’t think I could take another dreary, woke tome masquerading as an SEP book. Couldn’t even finish her last one — but this book marks a triumphant return to the SEP her readers cherish. It’s funny, snarky, and tender by turns. And it’s studded (pun intended) with handsome, loyal, and whip-smart athletes, along with other great supporting characters. Brava, Susan Elizabeth Phillips! Encore!Fun read
5By Uuu hi I thinkGlad to meet more Chicago Stars players…!When Stars Collide
1By Brr64xxxPhillips is better than this. Too much reliance on gimmicks and characters from old stories. It’s as if she were given an unwanted assignment at the end of senior year and went through the prior stories and notes. She is better than this and has failed to use her special writing gift.Wheee
5By Regaleagle59What a ride! This book is fabulous, two strong willed overachievers. When the Stars collide
5By Kate_mommyOne of the best Stars books yet! I’ve read th ese books for over 20 years now and I’m never disappointed and I can never put them down until it’s over. I loved the opera singer with the football player and all the comparisons on how something so different can be so similar too! This is a must read for any romance fans.Another hit!
