Heroic Measures

This book of the series IMO was is the best so far!! Jude and Parker rank right up there with my favorite couples of all time. Jude is shy but smart and sexy while Parker is confident and independent but has walls built around her heart so high. Will Jude be able to break down those walls?

Heroic Measures is the 6th book in the Blackbridge Security series, told in dual POV. This is Jude and Parker’s story and it’s a fantastic addition to the series. I’ve been waiting to read about Jude and this book did not disappoint! Jude is the medic for Blackbridge and a bit of a book/research nerd, but a very sexy one, lol. He always has some knowledge to drop on the guys, even if they didn’t ask for it. Parker is best friends with Hayden from Calculated Risks, book 5. She’s outgoing and flirty, the complete opposite of Jude but she has a thing for the quiet, shy type. I really enjoyed their story but there were times, a lot of times, I wanted to smack them both. While the chemistry was there and the time they spent together was more than satisfying, they were both so stuck in their heads when it came to their “relationship”. The push and pull was real in this book but when they both pulled their heads out, it was completely worth it. I can’t wait to see more of them in future books! Thank you Ms. James for another amazing read!! From the ending I’m assuming Gaige is next and it seems like there’s another great story there!!!

I loved this book. I love that we switched the typical roles of a story having a female virgin main character and instead we had sweet Jude. Jude and Parker’s story falls along the same time as Quentin and Hayden. We finally get to see the story behind the interactions Hayden and Quentin saw. Jude and Parker are on fire together, but even though Jude is the shy one, Parker is fun shy to commitment and feelings. This leads to some rocky times in their budding romance. This story isn’t all about the drama and suspense of a bad guy trying to hurt Parker but focuses more on the relationship. I happen to love that the drama and suspense is second to the romance. I love watching the characters develop and learn about each other. Parker and Jude are both stubborn but when they finally admit to their feelings things get even spicier. They definitely give Wren and Whitney a run for their money in that department. It’s always the shy ones you have to watch out for! As always this is a great addition to the series and I can’t wait for more! And of course Puff Daddy makes his appearance known throughout the story and it’s hilarious! Puff Daddy knows how to steal the show and tries his damndest to steal the girls!

This was such a good story about Jude and Parker. Funny and a bit heartbreaking to see two people not be able to get out of their own heads long enough to make something special happen. In the end, of course, love prevails. Plus a side of Puff! Marie scores again…..what will happen to Gaige next?!
