When I began this book I wary of Nyro. Some of the alphas in omegaverse books are difficult to like in the beginning. I remember loathing Drocco for the longest time. When we are first introduced to Nyro he had many of those entitled alpha thoughts and feelings. He was a breath of fresh air though. Nyro never had that whole ridiculous “I’m becoming too dependent/invested in this omega so I’ll push her away” moment and it was glorious. Nyro embraced his desire for Imyah and kept her close the entire book. Even when she betrayed him he innately understood she’d been manipulated and didn’t seek to retaliate. He was just desperate to fully claim his mate. I hope all the dragorai in this series are exactly like Nyro, he’s amazing. Imyah comes to consciousness being led into a place she has no memory of traveling too. She’s naked with several other women. She comes to learn she’s in a dragorai lair and she applied to be there as a kon’aya, to *please* the dragorai. He immediately becomes obsessed with her and only wants her. Eventually he realizes he wants to take her as mate. There’s more at play with her memory loss and eventually she remembers they and how she got there. Story 5/5, Heat 3/5, Darkness 1/5, Angst 2.5/5 Slower side of fast burn, they get together at 30%. Typical omegaverse matings with knotting and the like. Slight push away from her but, no OW/OM drama but he’s massively possessive and kills a masseuse for touching her even though it wasn’t sexual. No cheating, no cliffhanger and HEA. I’d consider this book safe. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Great story as usual, but the doubling of words, or obviously using the wrong word distracted from the flow of the reading. It feels like you rushed through your editing to meet a deadline.

I’ve read most of Zoey’s books but this was by far my favorite. I really loved the relationship between two main characters, the conflict, and most of all the dragon lore/world building. I’m super excited to read the rest of this series.

I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest review. First of all I loved the fact that this was not a cliffhanger lol. It's a complete story with beautiful worldbuilding and I found it fascinating to explore the alpha/omega dynamic amongst dragons. I love Zoey's characters especially the Alphas as usual. I love her descriptions of them physically in particular. it's hard for me to get into a novel when I don't find a hero imaginally attractive but the author never disappoints. I found the development of Nyro's character a little unfinished in the sense that I wished we could've learned a bit more of his feelings from his perspective as Zoey usually does in a sly way (without full on going into his perspective 100%). It was a little slow at first in that I didn't find Nyro that compelling in terms of his behavior and it wasn't entirely clear that he thought of I'mya as his mate until towards the middle-end of the book so I missed a bit of that obsessive build-up. I'mya herself I found a bit frustrating in that she seemed not to know what was going on much of the time. Granted there are extenuating circumstances as to why this is so but given her dynamic, you should kind of get the gist at a certain point. :) All in all, I absolutely loved it and Nyro and it really heated up in the last 3rd of the novel to the point that I was eagerly reading faster to see how things played out between them. Again, I love dragons so I found the combo of dragons and alpha/omega dynamics wonderful. I cannot wait for the next installment!
  • Boring start, decent ending. Very lackluster for Zoey Ellis

I’d like to start this out by saying that I absolutely hate that I cannot in good conscience give this book a higher rating than what I have. This is the first book of Zoey’s that I’ve read that I have literally struggled to start and/or finish. On a second note I’d also like to add that I absolutely love omega verse novels, and I absolutely adore dragons, and alpha men! So, to start off the book was incredibly slow and frankly it just didn’t catch my interest. And sure, these things happen from time to time but I kept struggling probably at least halfway through the book before I really felt like my interest was snagged enough that I WANTED to read without forcing myself to. I feel like while the character development towards the end of the book got better and better, there could have been so many things done differently at the beginning to entice the readers in a better manner. I won’t go into specifics because I don’t like spoiling anything for anyone who might otherwise enjoy this book. The book did end on a semi-decent note though...although it felt to me like there was much more that should be explored and gone over because there were many things left unsaid. But this book does have its merits once you get interested. The last thing I want to say is that yes, I did receive a copy of this in exchange for my HONEST review...that also being said, the copy I received was so riddled with grammatical errors and erroneous word usage to the point that it too contributed to my apathy towards this book. Normally this would not bother me and I try to help point out things like a good reader, but it was too much in this book. Here is the sincerest hope that the next book in this world is much better in comparison!

This is another fabulous book by Zoey Ellis. It’s a stand-alone in a new series that brings a magical aspect to the Omegaverse with dragon shifters. This is an awesome read and I loved the setting which was unique, the world building and the story line. Not particularly dark but definitely hot the characters practically light up the pages. A different twist for this author but absolutely a winner. You can’t go wrong. I only had 2 problems with the book. Number one: it ended! Number Two: I need more!

Gorgeous cover! As always I will read anything this author writes as her dark storytelling is amazing. The blurb was fantastic, had me begging for a copy. This is a complete book and a hawt HEA. What did I like? I devoured this book! I know it will be months before we get another book from this author but I just can’t help it. In this one we have a dragon, magic, and a bold omega! I’mya was a strong omega brought to Nyro for his use and nothing more. I’mya has special abilities though that make Nyro take notice, and once he takes notice he can’t stop. This was not as dark as Zoey’s other books but still highly enjoyable. Would I recommend or buy? I have a book shelf for this author! If you love omegaverse books then this author is definitely the best. I will be getting a paper copy when the book comes out! Loved it! Five stars! I read it the day I got it! Huge fan! Hope we get the other Dragon brother stories! I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review! Fantastic book!
  • A New Book Series with... Dragons!

A Lair So Sinful is truly a fantastic read. It's a pretty short novel, so I was able to devour it in just a few hours. Zoey has always been my first and all-time favorite Omegaverse author for me, so being able to read another masterpiece from her is always an honor. This new book series takes us to a world with dragons, their alphas and of course, the ever fiesty omegas. I'mya and Nyro are the alpha/omega couple that Nyro's clan (family) needed. A hope for the to continue on with their lineage. Their story was so grasping, I was left with wanting more! I hope we can continue soon with Nyro's brothers, especially Khyros. Maybe because I've always had a thing for older brothers who are the leaders of their pack? *I received an ARC of this book in exchange of an honest review.
