Description

Power isn’t everything. But in Uttira, it’s all that matters.
The truth is harder to face than I ever imagined. I’ve made too many mistakes to count. So, no more failures. No more running. It’s time to embrace what I am.

Eliana thought she had everything under control. However, she discovered just how wrong she was. She’s been feeding from Fenris in her sleep, and now he’s bound to her in ways she never wanted. She knows she needs to let him go; yet with him, she could have the one thing she’s secretly wanted. A mate for life.

To make matters worse, Adira pushes her to enjoy Fenris while Raiden is doing everything possible to keep the two apart. Including bringing back the one person who would willingly kill Eliana to have Fenris for herself. Tired of it all, Eliana does what she’s been fighting not to do for so long: She embraces what she is.

It’s time for the people in power to feel what it’s like to be a puppet. And when she’s done, the world will be on its knees.

Warning: Contains an affection-starved werewolf, a brownie fond of public exhibition, and a succubus on the edge.

The hunger was the perfect conclusion for Elianna and Fenris’ story. It has brought out so many different emotions in me: joy, frustration (at the meddling adults), excitement, and of course hunger! Seeing Elianna grow and mature and begin to embrace her succubus powers while also remaining true to herself was amazing. I loved seeing the new friendships develop as well as the deeper look at the side characters (especially the girl wolves). Seeing Nicolette learn how to support Elianna in the way that she needed was extremely touching. I loved seeing Elianna’s dad embrace her uniqueness. I cannot wait to read Ashlynn’s book! *fans self* The tangible tension I could feel between Eliana and Fenris? Stunning. Enticing. Palpable. They are by far one of my favorite couples and the end of this series was so fulfilling! I cannot wait to see peeks of them again in this world with the next series! Ten out of five stars for sure.

This book. This book made me so happy. I have been in such a reading slump, and this pulled me right out. I giggled, I smiled like an idiot, and I got frustrated and wanted to throat punch a certain someone (I’m sure we all know who). Overall, this was such a great ending to this trilogy. Melissa never disappoints, and gives me too high of expectations for men. *Please note, the next section contains spoilers.* I am so glad that we did not have to wait long to confirm that Eliana was Fenris’ mate. I so wanted a book full of lovey dovey, sweet/steamy, couple-y moments, and I got it. I loved that we got to see Megan and Oanen again. I did not realize how much I missed them both. Also, I am glad we got to explore more of Eliana’s friendships with Jenna and the other girls. I feel like Eliana was really missing that, and would not allow herself those friendships in worrying she was going to hurt someone. Her character has come so far, and I loved getting to see her come into herself and fight for what she wants! Lastly, y’all don’t even know how ready I am for Ashlyn and Kelsey’s books. I am so excited to know more about Kelsey’s neighbor. He wears a leather jacket, seems hot, and sounds moody. That’s all I need to know for a good time. And Ashlyn is about to get her own Hades/Persephone storyline? YES. PLEASE. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
