Repeat Business

Been waiting for Katy and Pierce to get together. Hinted in previous books, but this fills in the holes.

I’ve been reading the Pelican Bay Security series and just found the spin off to the small town by way of the Pelican Bay Billionaire series——LOVE! And Katy finally gets her story told which is so awesome 😃

I have been waiting to read Pierce and Katy’s story since we met them in “Family Business.” If you haven’t read it yet, go get it, but for now skip to the next paragraph so you don’t get spoilers. Pierce was in a fake relationship with Mari, until it became obvious she was in love with his cousin. He obviously had feelings for Katy, and they had a few scenes together in that book. I knew their story was going to be good but explosive. Their story was everything that I had hoped for! Katy is a bit on the crazy side but in ways that are a lot of fun and definitely keep Pierce on his toes! They’ve known each other since they were kids and have hated each other for just as long. Although for these two hate is too strong of a word and really covers up the way that they really feel. Because of history between Katy’s grandmother and Pierce’s grandfather, Katy has never been willing to give him a chance. They fight constantly and have angry but passionate hookups occasionally. I loved these two together but Katy really needed to get her head out of her butt and give Pierce a chance. When he was ready to walk away and not chase after her anymore, I thought my heart would break for him. Add in the suspense of a murder and the drama that comes with Katy trying to solve it, and the book was complete. It was everything I could hope for from these two characters and then some.
