I really enjoyed this second book although this is my first SJM series so I only knew the end referenced her other series once I read the reviews.The best work of the author so far!

There are many elements/reasons that helps this book (n series) to surpass other ones! Elements n concepts like portrayals of a multiverse with parallel dimensions n worlds, high diversity of characters, ethnicities, n species! The writing voice is much more complex n creative! The power n magic in this series are portrayed in a universal n cumulative world where all beings n their powers are dependent on other beings n things! Here, you won’t face a handful of characters with almost total power/control over the whole world, independently! Here, kings and high level authorities fall short in their power n capabilities vs (so-called) lessers n ordinances!!OH MY GOD
