"Exceedingly clever." -- Booklist
From the New York Times bestselling author of The Guest List comes a new locked room mystery, set in a Paris apartment building in which every resident has something to hide…
Jess needs a fresh start. She’s broke and alone, and she’s just left her job under less than ideal circumstances. Her half-brother Ben didn’t sound thrilled when she asked if she could crash with him for a bit, but he didn’t say no, and surely everything will look better from Paris. Only when she shows up – to find a very nice apartment, could Ben really have afforded this? – he’s not there.
The longer Ben stays missing, the more Jess starts to dig into her brother’s situation, and the more questions she has. Ben’s neighbors are an eclectic bunch, and not particularly friendly. Jess may have come to Paris to escape her past, but it’s starting to look like it’s Ben’s future that’s in question.
The socialite – The nice guy – The alcoholic – The girl on the verge – The concierge
Everyone's a neighbor. Everyone's a suspect. And everyone knows something they’re not telling.
Reviews
Quite the fun read! Jaw dropping
5By Fun stuffroseIt usually takes me forever to finish a book, but not this one. I was always excited to pick it back up, it moves rather quickly. I loved that French was sprinkled throughout the book. (If you buy it digitally, it will be easier to look up exact translations). Loved the secrets and twists, it literally had my jaw dropping a few times!Slow Read
2By Vegas1.0This is a very slow read. This book could have been wrapped up in 150 pages less. The plot twists were not shocking and the ending was ehhhExcellent read!

1By CoolCat9984Not well written, vulgar, and no characters to root for.Loved it
4By MadKatie22Only reason I’m not putting 5 stars is because I feel like the ending could have been better. Other than that this book is a must read.So good
