Description
Anya
Five years ago I was sold. Used. Now, I'm broken. My loving family thinks a husband will fix me. I have no desire to get married, but I’ll give them what they want. Except it will be on my terms. And I know just the person to ask.
Paddy
Getting married is at the top of the list of things I swore I'd never do. So there’s no way I’ll agree to Anya’s ridiculous proposition. Yet, somehow, I find myself saying yes. She says we both can live the lives we want without interference from the other. It seems like the perfect plan.
Until it isn’t.

Irish Rogue
5By Cxizabellax3Irish Rouge by LK Shaw My first by this author and I found that I like the way they set this plot up and it gave us the emotional aspect of the characters situation and how they found love that wasn’t planned.Gritty, Raw and Romantic!!
5By KSON77Anya was sold, owned, and abused, and may never get over it. Her family is pressing her to marry, or at least date, five years later. The only man she can actually touch/hug is her brother-in-law Pierce who helped rescue her. Paddy seems to have the same family pressures. A marriage of convenience would get both families off their backs, and allow Paddy to continue his low-commitment lifestyle. Anya only asks for a big garden and a sewing room - how hard could that be. With protective relatives on one side, and relatives with high expectations on the other; many are still watching. Paddy does not know how to be in a relationship, even one that is just “friends”. Turns out Anya can stand his innocent touches as she trusts him. A tough start, but a beautiful journey. Once again this author delivers a stellar read. *** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book ***Beautiful Love Story
5By CinnamondebIrish Rogue, book five in The Donnellys/Brooklyn Kings series from L.K. Shaw is one of the best books I’ve read all year and definitely my favorite B of the series. Shaw has put everything into this book, and it’s a masterpiece! Five years ago, Anya was kidnapped and sex trafficked by the Polish mob. For six months, she was held prisoner and subjected to the worst treatment imaginable. Her sister keeps pushing her to marry, but Anya has never wanted to be married. She comes up with a plan and asks Paddy Donnelly - king of the playboys - to marry her. They’ll live together, but he can date and sleep with anyone, and Anya can focus on her own interests without having to worry about being touched by a man. It’s the perfect plan, so what could possibly go wrong? Irish Rogue is phenomenal. It’s deeply emotional and sometimes difficult, but it’s so well-written. The characters are strongly developed, and the plot moves along swiftly. While all of the characters know the horrors that Anya survived, they don’t know the anguish that Paddy hides behind his smile. As he and Anya grow closer, they each begin to reveal their insecurities and work to help each other heal. Anya is able to talk about her pain with her sister, relationships are mended, and fears are laid to rest. Paddy reveals his true nature to Anya, and a genuine relationship is born. Shaw has written what I think is one of the sweetest, warmest, most beautiful scenes I’ve ever read in a romance! You can read this as a standalone, but you’ll enjoy it even more if you read the entire series from the beginning. Please be sure to let me know what you think - I’d love to discuss. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Highly recommended & riveting love story!
5By BallarddebbieLoved reading the engaging and captivating romance story. Because of the abuse Anya went through five years ago, she doesn't want her sister trying to set her up anymore and decides to propose marriage to Paddy, a womanizer, who would never try anything with her. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a riveting must read love story. All the feels.
5By hollgentleThis story starts out as a plan devised by Anya for her and Paddy- to get married. She wants her family off of her back to stop pushing her towards men she has zero interest in and she knows Paddy wants his mother to stop trying to match make. So what happens when the woman who wants nothing to do with men because of her broken past marries the Irish playboy who never wants to settle down you ask? Shocked friends and family who had questions and doubts about it that’s for sure. Anya and Paddy becoming friends pulled at my heart strings. The angst and slow burn was so good with them. Her story of her before broke my heart along with Paddy’s past. What happens when two souls who always assume they’ll be broken find each other? Well, I’m not spoiling it so, you’ll just have to read to find out! As always please check your trigger warnings as this is a darker book and there are some topics that may be triggering for some.
