Shane and Ilya’s story continues in this blockbuster hockey romance from Rachel Reid.
To the world they are rivals, but to each other they are everything.
Ten years.
That’s how long Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov have been seeing each other. How long they’ve been keeping their relationship a secret. From friends, from family…from the league. If Shane wants to stay at the top of his game, what he and Ilya share has to remain secret. He loves Ilya, but what if going public ruins everything?
Ilya is sick of secrets. Shane has gotten so good at hiding his feelings, sometimes Ilya questions if they even exist. The closeness, the intimacy, even the risk that would come with being open about their relationship…Ilya wants it all.
It’s time for them to decide what’s most important—hockey or love.
It’s time to make a call.

5By Reader-jupiterI won’t lie and say I wasn’t coerced into reading this series, this book, by the countless TikTok’s I’ve seen on them. Nor will I lie and say I wasn’t enthralled for ever.single.word. Rachel, you are a godsend of a writer. I can only hope to one day find my Ilya and Shane. Thank you for giving me hope, and for reminding me of the beauty that lies in love that’s patient.More please!!

5By Riss_RI’ve read more than a thousand romance books and I didn’t think any couple would ever dethrone Elena and Raphael from Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series from the top of my favorite couples list. But Shane and Ilya have done it. I could read 20 more books about them!My kings

5By tokyo_starkidIlya and Shane have my whole heart. I’m so glad Reid decided to continue their story. I’m so impressed with how much deeper the sequel went into their characters. A truly perfect wrap on the series. I will be re-reading indefinitely!6 stars
5By jookbunkieI’ve read hundreds of romance books in the last 15 years & Ilya is my absolute favorite character ever written. The ability of Rachel to make characters so nuanced real, enough to provoke both laughter (literally out loud) and tears at multiple points can only be described as magic. Ilya’s banter and dynamic with Shane are my favorite; they feel like my friends, and I already miss them so much! The test of truly, well-written characters is palpability & grieving the “loss” days after saying “goodbye”. Well done! Best romance I’ve read.Absolutely Perfect!!!
5By LindseyCFI have never been so excited for a book to come out in my life! Ilya and Shane’s love story is just incredible and I’ve been wishing for more since reading Heated Rivalry! This book sent me on a rollercoaster of emotions in the best possible way. I keep rereading it 💜Great Read

5By OdessaCrumpWow. This book is amazing. Rachel Reid is a great writer and I have loved all of her books. The Long Game had me with actual tears in my eyes and laughing out loud. I can’t be happier at the way this story ended for Ilya and Shane, who are by far my favorite couple out of all genres.Absolute Fan
5By Bianca31I am an absolute fan of this series. I especially liked Ilya and Shane. The Long Game was a perfection conclusion to their love story that had me giggling from the very beginning.Wow!
5By WyrdfanJust wow. The Long Game by Rachel Reid is the sixth and last in her Game Changers m/m hockey series. That said, it stands alone beautifully. I read it without having read the rest of the series (they’re on my TBR, I promise!) and loved it completely. Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov have been rivals since they met more than a decade ago, and that led the way to a heated attraction and then to a secret relationship. Rachel Reid’s writing is terrific—I loved her characters and their friendships and connections. Ilya and Shane feel very well-drawn, and they have a lot going on, much as people tend to. I feel they and the other characters have been written with warmth and affection, and that made me enjoy the read all the more. The Long Game has been a long time coming for these two—they have spent years hiding their real selves from the world, and struggle to determine how to navigate revealing themselves. They find hard truths about those closest to them and are reminded what is truly important. I absolutely loved The Long Game and plan to reread it soon, perhaps after catching up with the prior books in the series!
