Description
One girl. Two worlds. And a destiny she never asked for.
Brea Robinson doesn't believe in fairytales—until the day she's arrested for a crime she has no memory of committing. Branded unstable and abandoned by her family, Brea is left with nothing but questions. That is, until a mysterious stranger whisks her away from her bleak reality and into a realm torn from myth and magic.
In the world of the Fae, secrets pulse beneath every wickedly beautiful surface, and Brea may be the biggest secret of all. As she navigates a kingdom where loyalty is uncertain, magic is power, and everyone wants something from her, Brea must confront the terrifying truth: the lies she believed about herself may be the only thing keeping her alive.
Torn between a past she can't trust and a future she never chose, Brea is thrust into a war for control—of a kingdom, of her power, and of her heart. But if she can't untangle the deception woven around her, both realms may fall.
Fae's Deception is a swoon-worthy portal fantasy perfect for fans of A Court of Thorns and Roses, The Bridge Kingdom, and Throne of Glass. With lush worldbuilding, forbidden romance, twists that will leave you breathless, and a heroine who's done playing by anyone else's rules. This is the first book in a spellbinding series where nothing—and no one—is as they seem.
Reviews
Not even worthy of one star
1By gintakiAll the reviews I read said they couldn’t put this book down, I had to force myself to read the first 100 pages. It’s horribly written and absolutely boring.Amazing read!
5By Lils:(I couldn’t put it down!!!Good book
5By Chris@2017I enjoyed the story and book overall. I do wish it was a bit longer, as it only took me a day to read it, well 6 hours to be exact.Love this book!

5By JponbbThe story and the narration got me hooked.Fun!
4By IloveAcotarI think the plot is very fun. The way it’s written is a little interesting in a very “young adult” kind of way! I do love how the author references to all the other fantasy stories that seem to have influenced their story line. It’s a fun story and I’m interested to see where it goes.Boring
1By let's go oh*Can’t wait to read the others!
4By ErinGossI did not like Brea much. I found myself sympathetic to her through the whole book, but until the big reveal at the end of the book I did not like her much. I am very intrigued by Alona and I can’t wait to read more from her point of view. I like how the series is shaping and I can’t wait for more! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.I love Fae books and these are awesome!
5By JobeemiI love reading books about the Fae and these were amazing! Quick read but I loved 1-6 starting 7-9 soon!Just enough
5By BreenababyJust enough romance to not be too “much” and just enough battle to not be overpowered with it. All parts of happy, sad, romance, war, and magic very evenly written.
